2008 Honda CR-V Unfortunately, your 2008 CR-V EX had a few issues that I felt did not meet my expectations for a Sale price of $12,500 and an auto listed as certified Unfortunately, your 2008 CR-V EX had a few issues that I felt did not meet my expectations for a Sale price of $12,500 and an auto listed as certified. (What exactly does certified mean to your dealership?). The body, frame, interior, engine and tranny seem decent however, the heat shield is breaking apart, the tires maybe have another 1/2 year before they need to be replaced, the alignment and brakes were not good,( right off the bat, the front rotors, especially the front driver side is excessively worn down and needs replacement). Also when maneuvering the vehicle left/right as if you were on a winding road, it did not feel right mechanically. Paul, you remember one of the first things you mentioned to me was that the price is not negotiable (Customer's don't want to hear that even if its a fact). You were polite enough but I got a vibe that you did not like the level of visual inspection I was performing to gauge the overall condition of the vehicle and felt that you wanted to rush me through my process (Remember, customers do not like to feel rushed, especially when looking a vehicle over). I was surprised that you did not go with us on the test-drive as a majority of dealerships have the sales person in the car if any questions/concerns from the customer comes up during the test drive. After explaining what I did not like about the condition of the Honda to you, I felt that you and your dealership did not care about the condition of this vehicle (most dealerships at minimum would work that out with the customer either by a price reduction or to offer to address the issues/concerns). You guys offered neither, a bit disappointing. Now, that 2008 CRV in your ad is listed as a certified used auto, so most people would expect it to be in the best condition possible for its actual age/mileage, especially when priced at the middle of the fair market value range. It was disappointing that it was not in the condition (mechanically) that I would expect for a certified used Auto. Did your service team do anything to it other than clean it before it went on the lot for sale? I also did not see the certified portfolio that you claim in the ad. "This Herb Chambers Certified Pre-owned Vehicle has received a rigorous multi-point inspection by our factory trained technicians. Receipt and complete pre-owned portfolio provided when you visit for your test drive" More

I never get the feeling I am being taken advatage of like you would at other slime ball dealers and that is what always keeps me coming back. More

This sales experience was the best I have ever had, and I have had a few over the years. This was the first time I ever sat down with a sales person at a dealership who took the time to fully understand what I was looking for, both in the product and financial side of the transaction, and then..., got it for me! Marie is an asset to Herb Chambers and I hope she is recognized for how well she represents that dealership and Ford Motor Company. In terms of what could be improved in my sales experience? When I attempted to leave he got angry, calling me "buddy" like a tough-guy and lied by telling me my car sells cheaper now than when I bought it, all because I did my homework and I schooled him! My '14 Vette has the highest resale value in it's class and they raised the price since 2014 by thousands. Herb Chambers should fire this guy after how he treated me. I would not recommend this scam artist to anyone. Beware! More
Very slow services Brought in my 2013 Explorer. Had an appointment for 7:30 AM on Tuesday. After being told I would be called before lunch, I came to find out they did Brought in my 2013 Explorer. Had an appointment for 7:30 AM on Tuesday. After being told I would be called before lunch, I came to find out they didn't even get my car in to look at it til 3:30pm. Communication at the dealership is very poor. I had to call them each time they told me they would call me. Took 3 business days to fix my breaks. Will look for another dealer to have future repairs. More

Almost left dealer just because didn't think we could accomplish what we wanted. My sales person was finishing up another person and I happened to stop at GSM's office and just tell him I would come back in a couple months when maybe incentive for 16 explorers were better as I was told there were no more 15's. We quickly did find one together in Braintree store and had all everything we wanted. Got a good deal on it, got what I wanted from trade, did this all in a matter of minutes. Very very low BS did not feel like I was being manipulated or any of the "car buying nightmare" people always complain about. Pretty good on paperwork and everything I had a very young child with me and did not go too long or anything. Even through the old pick it up a day before I told them I was going to and still got the job done quickly. Ive had some bad experiences and some good experiences between the Herb Dealers. This was the best Thus far and hope it continues when I return for new lease and change out my truck adventually. If you had a bad experience at a herb chambers dealership do not judge the whole company they are not all created equal it is very specific on the management. Some are good some are bad. The GSM here that I worked with was great. Finance guy also very good once again no BS. Sorry I forgot their names im terrible with names More

Long story short the service was fast, my problems were solved and the customer service was excellent. They checked over the whole truck and gave me a heads up on things to watch for in the future. He made a terribly sarcastic comment and my husband was insulted so we left and drove down the street and proceded to buy a car from their competiton. Very Bad experience More

My Ford Explorer's back rear door was not functioning properly. I took it in and they found that it needs a new motor at a price of $710.00. Which with 51,323 miles is not what I would expect with a 2012 car. I talked with the service manager and was told that is what it is. Asked to talk to the General manager and he went to talk with him. I was told (not in a good way) he would not talk to me and would say the same thing. I believe this is very unprofessional, rude, and surely not good customer relations. The service manager is Mike Caico. Jim from Sudbury MA More

Not only did he help me that day, but patiently answered all my questions and concerns over the next 3 days as I made my long, drawn out decision and flip-flopped 100 times. After my decision, Ricardo took over for the financing, and he worked very hard for me. He stayed in constant contact with me, shopped for the best rate, and did it all quickly. These guys are great and work as a team - one I'll definitely be recommending in the future. Thanks to both of you!!!!!! More
