We tried going there to trade-in our 2 hondas, but they can't even satisfy their repeat customers so we left. After reading reviews using Google, we saw that Metro Honda only has 2 star ratings, and read the customer reviews. At least 2 of the reviews are very similar to our personal experience! The "sales manager" who talked to us before we left was very rude and try to haggle us down. That night, I searched for another dealership near Rhode Island And we saw that Herb Chambers HONDA in Seekonk, MA has 4 star rating. So we went there the next day, to see why they have a 4 star rating which is really high. John H. our sales consultant From start to finish..... was very professional w/ excellent customer service. He is direct to the point, helpful, and NO BS! My wife and I know what we wanted, and we did a lot of research specially with LEASE Prices of vehicles. I showed John H., the prices that I wanted for the 2 vehicles....and he matched them without any issues. He made our BUYING EXPERIENCE .....FUN & Educational!!!! Which should be the case when consumers get into a dealership. People shouldnt be stressed out and disappointed. My wife and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND John H. for your car needs! Spoke to Nicole Pimental over the phone about the availability of a used vehicle I was interested in purchasing. I was told the car was available, and set up and appointment to drive it just a few da availability of a used vehicle I was interested in purchasing. When I arrived at the dealership, I was greeted by Cliff (never got his last name.) When I told him about the car I had called in about (a 2006 Toyota Matrix) he informed me that it was no longer available. Unhappy about this, I decided to test drive another vehicle that I had seen on their website (a 2007 Dodge Caliber) anyways. Not the dealers fault obviously, but I did not like the Caliber. After driving the Caliber, Cliff asked me what I was looking to pay, and upon telling him, he told me "You can't afford this. You gonna end up in something older with high mileage. We don't have anything like that on our lot." I said "Oh, well that's too bad. But thank you for showing me the car anyways." Tried to shake his hand but he walked away. Left Herb Chambers, went to Silko Honda and purchased a 2006 Toyota Corolla with LESS mileage than either the '06 Matrix or '07 Caliber at Herb Chambers, for LESS than what I had planned to pay. More
We had a bad experience with the front desk. We were given an estimate of $1570 and then charged $1855 when we arrived. It was time for me to get a new vehicle, as the one I was driving was 11 yrs old and very troublesome. (a Ford). Well I had 4 visits to Herb Chambers Honda, each time working with Bruce Stein. I have never leased before but Bruce helpfully explain the benefits of doing so. Finally on the 4th visit I was ready to comit and quickly reached an agreement with Bruce on a lease that I thought was a great deal. In all my many years of buying cars, Bruce is the only salesman I've ever met who came across has honest and reliable. Hopefully the new car (Accord) is as great as Bruce. Even though this dealership is not as close as several other Honda dealers, I am glad I made the trip and will definitely be back with my wife when she is ready for a new car. More
I was upfront about not wanting to haggle back and forth and they immediately came up with a proposal within the ranges I told them I was comfortable. Although at this time I have decided to wait until in a better financial situation about a year after the baby comes, it was nice to be listened to and not pressured and I would recommend and return to this dealer and these two employees. Our overall experience with Matt Collard was 100% positive. This was our first visit to Honda and we couldn't be more pleased. We were initially very indecisive about models and even if we were read positive. This was our first visit to Honda and we couldn't be more pleased. We were initially very indecisive about models and even if we were ready to purchase a new vehicle. Matt 's professionalism was apparent immediately. His knowledge of Hondas was superior. He had quick, informative answers to our many inqueries. We are not tech savvy and he was patient and respectful answering our many questions until we had a grasp on the great gadgets on the new models. We left the first day without purchasing a car. We did some comparative shopping at another dealership and that experience confirmed that we would return to Herb Chambers to purchase from Matt. We were upfront about checking out another dealership and he was not put off at all. We liked a color he didn't have in stock. Matt was confident he could have one for us the next day and he did. We were able to negotiate a very good price and his professionalism never wavered during the process. We needed to pick up our new car later in the evening and this was not a problem. Matt came in on his day off to walk us through the details of our new purchase. The whole process was seamless. We highly recommend Matt and would definitely purchase another vehicle from him when the time comes. More
