The service manager, Brian M, is an insult to this dealership. He tried to intimidate me and succeeded. It's really too bad after a reasonably good start to a bad situation. The engine on my 2015 Lexu dealership. He tried to intimidate me and succeeded. It's really too bad after a reasonably good start to a bad situation. The engine on my 2015 Lexus RX 350 failed (107,900miles) on Rte. 95 as I was driving from RI to Boston. I was towed to Herb Chambers Lexus of Sharon. They diagnosed the problem as the third piston failed and took the engine apart. They said the engine would need to be replaced or rebuilt. The quoted cost of $8600 to replace it was too high so I declined. I found a reputable garage in RI that would replace it for far less. The dealership told me that my car was ready to pick up/get towed. Upon arriving at Herb Chambers Lexus of Sharon to get my car towed to RI, Brian M said the engine was still taken apart. He asked if I wanted to bring the car to RI that way, explaining that it would be easier, and possible less expensive, for the garage to work on. (Not knowing anything about car repair, I agreed. Everyone I spoke to later said this was untrue and highly unusual.) It really it didn't matter if I wanted to engine put back together because the tow truck was well on it way to take the car to RI. The icing on the cake was that, when my car was put on the tow truck, I saw it had several new scratches on the rear door on the driver's side. I told Brian and he got belligerent, saying that they had been there when the car was brought in. That's absolutely false. I know my car very well, I see it every day, and the scratches had not been there. He said he took photos of my car and proceeded to show me a photo with the scratches. How convenient that he had taken that shot. That was not my car's condition when it was brought into the Sharon dealership. He should have owned up to the scratches being done at his shop and he should have repaired them before having me come up to get my car. He said it was his word against mine. Guess who won - Brian M, the intimidating service manager at this dealership. I have already, and will continue to, spread the word about the terrible, demeaning service at this dealership. By the way, Brian M would never have spoken to my husband in the belligerent, dismissive way that he spoke to me. More
