Great experience!! We were on our way from Maine to Virginia when our 2000 Echo with almost 197000 miles started making a terrible noise. Herb Chambers was about 10 mil We were on our way from Maine to Virginia when our 2000 Echo with almost 197000 miles started making a terrible noise. Herb Chambers was about 10 miles away so we called and they said to bring it in and they would look at it. The bad news was that it would take about $1900 to fix what was obviously wrong. We all agreed that it wasn't worth that so we started looking at options. Martin and the mechanic were very helpful with some suggestions to get us home (from driving it and hoping that we made it or would at least be closer to home when it finally quit for good to rental options). Meanwhile my wife had gone out to look at new Prius' and met Miguel. To make a long story shorter, every staff member we encounter was terrific in working with us to get us back on the road again. We ended up buying a new Prius and continuing on our trip to Virginia. Miguel agreed to drive to Maine and take care of all of the local paperwork for us so we could continue on. Thanks to Herb Chambers, what looked as if it was going to be a horrible experience turned out to be very pleasant. We can not say enough good about our experience with Herb Chambers in Auburn, MA.
