Great customer service made up for frustrating situation I heard a strange noise on the way to bringing in my 2015 Legacy for service. Mike got the work scheduled quickly and I was able to get in and out with no problems. We went by the book and he didn't try to "upsell" me on unnecessary maintenance. I was offered a loaner car without even having to ask for it, and that too was handled really well. A nice, low mileage 2017 forester allowed me to run errands all day while the worked on my ride. Car was done on time, and price was as quoted. I don't even live around here, and Mike treated me like I've been a lifetime customer of their shop. Nice work. More
Exceptional Service Advising 12/12/2017 I arrived 0830 hours at Herb Gordon Subaru. The automatic door would not open and the Service Advisor Michael Goodman came and opened the s 12/12/2017 I arrived 0830 hours at Herb Gordon Subaru. The automatic door would not open and the Service Advisor Michael Goodman came and opened the service lane doors. Micheal then did a complete vehicle check, with me, as we walked around my car in the service lane. After we completed what Michael said was an express multi point safety inspection on the vehicle, he quickly got my car in for a routine oil changed that I had scheduled for an appointment. When the mechanic had my car in the shop, he found some suspension work that was concerning and would need to be corrected. Michael spoke to me in such layman terms, even a 79 year old grandmother could comprehend what needed to be addressed. I was not prepared for such costly repairs and I was going out of town in a few days. Micheal and I came up with a plan to get this work done after the holidays and that my car was safe for my 4 hour trip. He even showed me and explained how I could fit into my budget and vehicle maintenance plan.Being a loyal Subaru owner for decades now, I thought this was service only found in years forgot. I test drove a 2018 Impreza and decided to buy the car I test drove. The salesperson was very personable and knowledgeable about the Subaru models. The staff person who helped me with the financing was also very personable and was able to get me a very good financing offer. Both people were very easy to work with, which I greatly appreciated. The whole experience was a good one. BTW, I bought my Outback in 1998 when this dealership was known as Tischer Subaru, which is one of the reasons I selected Herb Gordon Subaru. More

Great place to buy or service a car The folks at Herb Gordon made buying my car an all-around great experience. I used the build tool on the Subaru website and took the information in wi The folks at Herb Gordon made buying my car an all-around great experience. I used the build tool on the Subaru website and took the information in with me. I talked with Gary Grace and after a test drive and about 30 minutes of discussion I had decided I was going to buy the car, they just had to find it for me. They were able to locate a vehicle which had everything I wanted. Gary called me and gave me the price they were looking for - it was a fair price ($1,300.00 under the Subarau.com build price) and I felt that there was no need to try and haggle or shop around. I went back in spoke with him and Jason Withrow (the sales manager) briefly and had them order it. The vehicle arrived three days later, and the remainder of the purchase was a breeze. While the car was purchased with cash I still met with Marc Dorfman (the finance manager) briefly to discuss any additional services they could offer (such as an extended warranty). While I was presented with these options there was absolutely no pressure to purchase any of them. This was the first purchase I’ve made form Herb Gordon but the third purchase for my family. I'd highly recommend purchasing a vehicle from them – I know I’ll be going back when my wife’s car needs to be replaced. I haven't had my car serviced yet but my mom has been having her cars serviced at Herb Gordon for almost 20 years. She recently had an issue with her Outback burning oil and the service department went to bat for her and got Subaru to replace the engine even though she was out of warranty. One more thing: In regard to the CSI survey you will receive - I spent 13 years working in the car business. I know some will think I'm a plant or a shill and that's your prerogative. But as someone who's been on the receiving end of the survey you're sent by ANY manufacturer after purchasing a vehicle or having that vehicle serviced, please help the employees out and fill it out as 100% satisfied if you're happy with the INDIVIDUAL who helped you. The surveys don't affect the manufacturers - when you choose an answer other than completely satisfied/outstanding all it does is affect the pay of the salesman, the service writer, or other employees who helped you even when you're complaining about how the water coming out of the bathroom tap wasn't hot enough. More

I bought our new Subaru here just to keep coming to the service department. I figure if it ain't broke, don't fix it! I look forward to another 15 years. More
