We had decided to replace our 2004 Mercury Mountaineer which we had purchased new. We had narrowed our choice for a new SUV to the Explorer & the Grand Cherokee. Earlier in the day we had driven a new Ex which we had purchased new. We had narrowed our choice for a new SUV to the Explorer & the Grand Cherokee. Earlier in the day we had driven a new Explorer & both of us were disappointed with the vehicle as well as the sales associate. We felt he made no effort to sell us the vehicle. We then drove to Parkville Heritage to see the Grand Cherokee. Almost as soon as we got out of our vehicle, Jeff came out to greet us & introduced himself. We were very impressed. We told him why we were there & he asked us into the showroom. We were surprised when he took us to a 2011 Laredo on the floor - I would have expected him to start with the high-end model - and explained the cost savings. I told him we were actually interested in a 2012 Overland. To make a long story short, we drove away in our new 2012 Overland. Jeff is an excellent salesman. I can't state it any simpler than that. We knew what we wanted to pay and he seemed to go "all out" to accomodate us. I've never been comfortable with the process of being turned over to the F&I person but Jeff accompanied us next door & waited with us until Jay -I believe that was his name -could see us. That process went very smoothly with no high pressure tactics. There is no question we would deal with Jeff again. This was our first experience with Heritage and we were definetly pleased. More

Everyone was very friendly and explained our options throughout the sales process. I wish we would have seen what other vehicle colors and options were available in the area. We were not given a operators manual and after returning to the dealership were promised to receive a manual in the mail. It has been 4 months now and we still have not received our manuals - despite numerous calls to the dealership. We think we are coming up on our first maintenance but can't verify without the manual. We also realized that the salesperson did not understand the vehicle's four-wheel drive capability. The salesperson explained to us on the lot that the vehicle will automatically put the appropriate torque on the wheel that is slipping. We learned after purchasing the vehicle that it has a Quadra-Trac I, which splits power 50/50 between the front and rear axles not a Quadra-Trac II like he explained. Obviously we should have known better prior to buying but the dealership needs to better train their sales staff. We have received our manual. Thank you very much! No one from sales has contacted me. I went two dealerships. Heritage gave the most for my trade got me the best finance rate and the best deal on the car I was buying. The folks there followed up but did not seem to aggressive. We've brought my wife's car in several times over the past month. First it was the water pump and serpentine belt, then it was the compressor, and now it's something else. Even though these are all interrelated things, as admitted by the dealership, they're not honoring the 12 month warranty on the parts and covering our costs. I've had similar problems with my VW Passat. The car was taken in for a routine maintenance, and lo and behold, they break the brake fluid resevoir, and it's my responsibility to pay for it. Clearly, the quality of work is bad. The website claims that their top priority is customer satisfaction and quality, and yet, their quality of workmanship is very poor. The price is bad becuase I continue to waste money on new and developing problems that continue to crop up even though they say the car is "fine" More
