I’m leaving this review after leaving a response to a prior 5 star review I was asked to leave while I was still at the dealer just after I had traded in my old vehicle for a “new” used vehicle with 4,50 prior 5 star review I was asked to leave while I was still at the dealer just after I had traded in my old vehicle for a “new” used vehicle with 4,500 miles on it. I was asked to leave that review on this website (and one other which I can’t remember at this point) before I had even signed all the paperwork for the new vehicle or having had a chance to drive the new vehicle (besides test drive) or having seen how much they’re selling my trade in for as opposed to how much they gave me for it. The reason I’m leaving this review is because I feel like I was given way less for my trade in than it was worth (I understand they have to make some money but more than double? especially since they knew I owed more on it than they gave me) plus the vehicle I bought from them broke down and left me stranded on the side of the highway after only 5 days. Since that happened, it’s been difficult to get anyone at the dealer to answer the phone or return my calls and emails. At first, several different people called to check in on how I was liking the vehicle I bought but since I’ve complained to them that’s changed. It’s been about 17 days and they still haven’t paid off my old car loan (I owed more on it than they gave me for my trade in). I can’t afford to make two car payments! My new one plus my old one. They were offering up to $1,000 over for any trade in and when I got there they only offered me (well I won’t include exact numbers or vehicle brands in this review but it was way less than any websites said it was worth) on my old fully loaded / fully optioned vehicle. After haggling most of the day, they doubled that amount. Then I saw they’re selling it on their website for more than double what they gave me for it! After saying it needed this and that when it was all cosmetic things such as fingernail marks on the steering wheel which they said would cost around $500 to reupholster. It had $1,000 year and a half old off-road tires on it, pretty new rear brakes and rotors, new headlights, new windshield wipers and a $500 subwoofer in the back that I don’t see listed or pictured in their online listing of the vehicle. The Carfax also lists what they did to the vehicle after I traded it in which I don’t see nearly justifying the amount they gave me for it VS what they’re selling it for. At least whoever buys it will get a nice vehicle. Luckily, the manufacturer is covering the transmission problem with the car I bought under the remaining factory warranty. The listing of the car I bought also said it was a certified pre-owned vehicle but my paperwork did not so I called and was told it’s not since Honda can’t certify other brands (the car I bought isn’t a Honda) but that if I emailed them a photo of the listing they’d let the website that listed it know about this mistake so it hopefully won’t be made again in the future. When they first reached out to me and scheduled an appointment for me to come in to look at and test drive the car I ended up buying, they said such and such (don’t want to name names) would be there to greet and help me that day and neither of those people were there. I was told one of them had the day off. So why did they tell me they would be there? When I got there it seemed like no one was even expecting me. I will say they did work with me and their financing department to try to get the payment on the car I bought where I needed it to be even though I had already prequalified for financing on my own before going in. I’m sorry to leave a low review but this is how I feel mostly having to do with the amount I was given for my trade in VS how much they’re selling it for. They also said I’ll have to drive back there (over an hour away) to pick up my permanent tags when they come in since they won’t mail them which is super inconvenient. They also almost forgot to take the tags off my old vehicle which you only have 5 days to trade in. More
