After much online research, car dealer visits, phone calls and stress I was referred to Calvin Pernell at Russel Toyota by a friend of my husband's. He put me in the car I wanted, with the options I wanted, for the price I wanted. Calvin accomplished all of this by generating a level of trust between us and relating to me as an informed consumer with an eye on the bottom line. I have a great deal of respect for him as a sales person and a person of integrity. I was also pleasantly surprised by the respectfulness and warm attitude of the rest of the Russel team, including the receptionist at the front desk that located Calvin for me when I first arrived, the lady that went over the undercoating, and paint protector options, and the finance man, Jay. Especially Jay - I was very insistent on comparing his calculations to those on my calculator. He was soooo patient. As Calvin showed me where I would bring my car for service, Aaron Slaughter, the Assistant Service Manager, gave me his card and encouraged me to call him personally to schedule appointments. Even the young man that I rode with to put gas in the car so that I could take it out for a test drive was warm and personable. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by my interactions with each person at Russel after very negative experiences at my last car dealer. I hope to continue a positive relationship with Russel in the future as I return for servicing on my new Rav4. More

I walked onto the Russell car lot 11 years ago as I was coaching my son through his first car purchase. We had seen few "workable" cars and the salespeople were average at best. Then we met David Day and our day turned around totally. Not only was David conscientious, he was SO knowledgeable about his stock and he listened to our needs and worked to meet them. He introduced my son to a Camry that was "just right" and that my son was so proud to purchase. And David made it work so simply and easily. It was a great family day. Now 11 years later. . . I have bought a used Solara (great car that David "thought I'd like"), a Tacoma pickup that I love and drive and 2 Prius. Each time my experience has been EXCELLENT. I have been very impressed with the customer service at Russel Toyota. I called the dealership not knowing that it was far away from my home. Everyone is extremely polite and respectful. Everyone made me feel like I was the only customer he/she was working with and made me feel that he/she was happy to go out of his/her way to accommodate me. Dan came in early to meet with me and was willing to come in on his day off to meet with me, but I told him that was not necessary. Negotiating the price for my new Toyota Highlander was a "piece of cake" and actually a pleasant experience. I am certainly spreading the word among family, friends and work colleagues about my positive expereice with Russel Toyota. For me, it was certainly worth driving the extra miles and I have decided that I will continue driving the extra miles to service my car at Russel Toyota.
