This dealership is exactly why car sales has such a bad reputation. After finding my listing on Facebook Marketplace and Autotrader, they called me repeatedly--4-5 times--pushing me to come in for a "compe reputation. After finding my listing on Facebook Marketplace and Autotrader, they called me repeatedly--4-5 times--pushing me to come in for a "competitive" appraisal. I was upfront from the start: I already had offers from a Hyundai dealership and a private buyer slightly below my asking price, and I didn't want to waste time unless they could be in the same range. They assured me they were highly competitive and even claimed they sometimes offer above asking. That turned out to be completely misleading. Their actual offer came in $6,000 below my asking price--far under both KBB and Carmax estimates. That alone was insulting, but instead of acknowledging the gap, the salesman (Dan Raba) lied about supposed "issues" with the car that simply don't exist and insisted I wouldn't get a better offer--even after I showed written proof of higher offers. Just plain shameful business practices. It was very hard not to burst out laughing after seeing their offer. I strongly recommend looking anywhere else besides this dealership. At the very least, get a second opinion before getting fleeced by this sales team--there are better, more transparent dealerships nearby. Unfortunately Yelp doesn't let you leave a zero star review because that's what this place deserves. More
I had a terrible experience with Honda of Libertyville and want to warn anyone considering buying a vehicle there. On March 28, 2026, I purchased a used 2024 Ford Bronco from them. When I first saw the ca and want to warn anyone considering buying a vehicle there. On March 28, 2026, I purchased a used 2024 Ford Bronco from them. When I first saw the car, it had carpeted floor mats and sunroof covers in the trunk. During the financing process, the dealership took the car to “detail” it. When I got home later that day, the floor mats were gone. My son reached out to our salesman, **Timothy Koszczuk**, about the missing mats, and his response was dismissive — suggesting we “check the we-owe.” There was no “we-owe”; the mats were in the vehicle when we bought it, and the dealership misplaced them. I then spoke to the sales manager, **Zeeshan**, who said he’d look into it but never followed up. After that, I emailed the new general manager, **Jason Bulthuis**, on April 1st, 2026. He didn’t reply until I called him on April 3rd, 2026. To his credit, he apologized and agreed the situation wasn’t handled properly. Jason said he’d have his used-car sales manager, **Daniel Raba**, take care of it, and even offered to buy a replacement set near my home rather than making me drive back. That sounded great — until they both stopped responding entirely. GHOSTED AGAIN It’s now been well over two weeks, and I’ve received zero communication despite further calls and emails. Every person I dealt with there has failed to follow up or take responsibility (over a lousy set of $150-$200 car mats on a $45,000 car). Once they make the sale, it seems customer service stops completely. I'll never buy from this group again. The worst part was that we had an initial good buying experience. Do yourself a favor — take your business somewhere that values integrity and follow-through. Honda of Libertyville has shown me they do not. I hope the owner of Honda of Libertyville (Murgado Automotive Group, led by CEO Mario Murgado) sees this and knows who he has working for him. Absolutely pathetic !!! Tarnishing his trusted name over a few hundred bucks. The End - One Angry Customer More
We drove three hours to view a truck that multiple employees confirmed was available, including a morning call from a sales representative to reconfirm we could make it to our appointment. Upon arriva employees confirmed was available, including a morning call from a sales representative to reconfirm we could make it to our appointment. Upon arrival 10:30 am, one salesperson said it sold at 2:10 PM the day before, while the sales manager said around 9:00 PM — yet it remained listed online. We were then directed toward a “new” truck $15,000 more, with a discount only available if we financed; advertised 0% financing could not be combined, and cash did not qualify. This raises serious concerns about inconsistent communication, misleading vehicle availability, and potentially deceptive sales practices. We hope you review this dealership’s policies to ensure accurate, transparent, and professional service for customers. I do have all text and emails from the sales team confirming availability of the vehicle if you would need them. More
I scheduled a transmission fluid change for 10:30 a. m. and made the appointment by phone, clearly explaining the service needed and that a family member would be dropping off the car. When my family m. and made the appointment by phone, clearly explaining the service needed and that a family member would be dropping off the car. When my family member arrived, he was told the service would take about 1.5 hours. At 2:30 p.m., I received a call asking why I missed my appointment, despite my car being there since 10:30 a.m. The dealership later admitted they forgot to check my car in and apologized, stating they had overbooked appointments by 50 cars. To make matters worse, after picking up my car, I discovered the underbody panel had not been reinstalled correctly and was dragging while driving. This was the only service I brought the car in for. Very disappointing experience due to poor communication, scheduling issues, and careless workmanship More

SCAM. He even tried to convince me that I needed $1500 more in services, including changing the engine and cabin filters and new tires, which were completely unnecessary. This guy tried to turn a routine oil change on a well-maintained car with no issues into $2200 worth of work. Stay away from these people. More
Extremely Disappointing Experience – Honda of Libertyville My family chose Honda of Libertyville after my wife and toddler were in a serious car accident. We wanted a safe, reliable vehicle an Libertyville My family chose Honda of Libertyville after my wife and toddler were in a serious car accident. We wanted a safe, reliable vehicle and trusted the Honda name. Unfortunately, this dealership completely shattered that trust. We experienced bait-and-switch pricing, were pressured out of our own pre-approved financing, and were told add-ons like Permaplate were “mandatory.” The finance manager even said “Hope you don’t get in another accident” while trying to sell us gap insurance—knowing what my family had just been through. The vehicle was also delivered dirty and undetailed, and management has refused to take accountability. When I escalated to Honda Corporate (Case #15850808) and the BBB (Case #23892095), the dealership’s only “solutions” were to wash the car once or undo the sale entirely. Even Corporate agreed that “unwinding the sale” is not appropriate. This experience has been emotionally exhausting and completely unprofessional from start to finish. If you value honesty, empathy, and transparency, avoid this dealership and purchase your Honda elsewhere. More
