Jodie took me on a test drive two days before, no pressure, no heavy handed sales tactics. My husband was dealing with the numbers, (with Kerry) but the car is for me. I just wanted to see if I liked it and he respected that. Most of the deal was handled on the phone, finalizing numbers for lease, amount for trade in etc. We were in and out in 2 hours. (Thanks Alberto) We had a couple of discrepancies in the agreed upon numbers, but all was worked out to our satisfaction. We had actually contacted Midlands Honda because they are much closer to us, but did not hear from them at all until we were driving our new CRV home yesterday. 4 days after we had asked them online to contact us. I just moved to Columbia and was driving an Acura MDX and on my first day in South Carolina, the MDX, slipped its timing belt on I-26, on a Friday, du I just moved to Columbia and was driving an Acura MDX and on my first day in South Carolina, the MDX, slipped its timing belt on I-26, on a Friday, during rush hour! Through the recommendation of the only person I knew in South Carolina, my car was towed to his Honda Dealer, Honda of Columbia. My friend Terry, introduced me to just about everyone person who worked there. Don, in service, Jennifer in the loaner car area, my sales person Johnny Canaday, Chris Burns, sales manager, and Jeff Joseph, in finance. There are so many other people that stopped to introduce themselves, I just can't remember all of their names, and I apologize for that. I felt like the entire dealership, knew about my circumstance, and they were all eager to help me in any way that they could. Let me tell you, this dealership cares about people first, and fixing your car second! From what they told me, this is a family owned business and from what I experienced, this family has great family values! Johnny and his Chris, worked the entire day trying to make the numbers work for me and in the end, I drove off the lot with a new Pilot. Thanks to Honda of Columbia, they threw me a life line in a tough situation. It will be very easy for me to recommend Honda of Columbia to anyone!
