My 2021 passport failed a smog test due to an issue with a fuel exhaust monitor. I was charged 480 dollars for 20-40 min of “work” which consisted of driving my car. (No actual work was performed.) I was told that the issues was caused by another dealership disconnecting my battery at a service performed 4 weeks prior. I was advised I should call that dealership and ask for a refund from them. I called the Santa Rosa Manley Honda dealership and was not only told that my battery had not been disconnected but also was sent a video on how I could have done this drive test myself and saved the money. Additionally the Santa Rosa dealership said that an hour of “work” - were they to do the drive test - would be around 200.00. I am a veterinarian that drives a ton for work - I understand that there are complexities I may not understand about cars - but this just feels like I was taken advantage of and charged an inordinate amount of money for an issues that is easy to fix. I have never written a “bad” review in my life. I have reached out to management at Oakland Honda and hope somebody will address this situation. More
I do not recommend this service shop. This was all on the invoice that Honda of Oakland gave me. These parts bounced around in my transmission until a few weeks ago they caught ahold of some gears and ripped a few teeth off, completely ruining my transmission. I had my mechanic and the warranty inspector confirm that the cause of my transmission was caused by negligent repairs done by Honda of Oakland. I even have the speed sensor stem that was inside my transmission in my possession. It is painfully obvious that the Honda of Oakland tech's negligence (not removing the speed sensor parts from my transmission) caused my transmission failure. I provided the Honda of Oakland service department supervisor all of this evidence and requested that they pay for the repairs on my transmission. He refused on the grounds that the warranty for the repairs had expired. Warranty or no warranty, the negligence of the Honda of Oakland tech is what caused my transmission failure. I should not be liable for the cost of the repair. I've been a Honda customer my whole life, I am so disappointed and will never buy a Honda again! More

I had the worst experience with Honda of Oakland. After I had to wait for several hours, I was taken to another room. Since we already discussed payment plans, I thought all I had to do was to sign. The finance guy showed me electronic contract (which was hard to read because of reflection on the device), and said I needed to sign. He just explained to me I could choose either basic maintenance for $290 or premium plan for $320. After I came home, I noticed I was charged with extra $5000 of maintenance fee on top of payment for a used car. Also, there was $250 charged for "optional" cancellation fee that was only usable for 3 days including Sunday. I immediately contacted with the sales representative, but Honda kept saying I cannot amend contract once it's signed, and I should've asked in the first place. If there is anyone who had bad experience with this dealer, please fill a consumer complaint or file complaint against DMV. I feel so depressed and angry with their predatory business. More

Don't buy a car unless if they don't have a car in the showroom they are misleading. Ask for Specific VIN number and MSRP sticker and ask for car arrival ETA also copy of the contract agreement. I provide them $1k deposit they promised me the color of the car sonic gray pearl and car arrival ETA between January 15 to 30 and I trust them. I left with out any copy of prof documentation. Then I call them after 2 weeks to get updat of the car the history is changing the car color to silver Metallic and the day ETA arrival of the car pushed back to end of February after that I asked them the contract paper agreement. They told me no specification of the car in the contract agreement. How car dealer to sale a car with out specific details of the car on the contract agreement. Instead of excuse. The general sales manager Sammy Godreau and the finance director Roger Jauregui they are extremely rude. Thanks to them convincing me to find another dealer. More

I highly recommend Oakland Honda dealership for their great customer service. Ricky and the team offered a no-pressure, supportive car buying experience.
