Awful experience at the Certi-Care used car dealership Awful experience at this dealership.... felt like a classic "bait and switch"... sent an email to check on availability of a specific vehicle that was Awful experience at this dealership.... felt like a classic "bait and switch"... sent an email to check on availability of a specific vehicle that was advertised… was called by “Moaz” (in parentheses only as I don’t know if this is a real name)…he confirmed the car was still available and told me to ask for him when I came in…Went straight to the dealership as agreed and asked for “Moaz”.. was told by the floor people that “Moaz” only handles the calls and they show the cars…but that “Moaz” told them to take good care of me…I asked to see the specific car that I contacted them about … they immediately start talking about newer (and I am sure more expensive vehicles)… I said I wanted to see the specific 2006 Honda Pilot that I had called about… the floor sales person walked us around outside… to newer pilots…I said again, that I wanted to see the specific 2006 Honda Pilot that I called about… he then walked us over to where they “keep the older pilots”…and walked us to a 2007… I again said, that I wanted to see the specific 2006 that I had called about…he said “ok, but why don’t you look at this one…”. I again re-iterated that I wanted to see the specific 2006 that I had called about….he took us back into the dealership and asked us to get a drink and wait… he then talked with the person who later identified himself as the general manager…and disappeared in the back for a while….. he eventually came back out and I asked them where the 2006 Honda Pilot was…..they then tell me that that car was bought by their Service Manager…. But they could show me other vehicles… I then asked why “Moaz” would tell me the car was still available if it had been sold…and why didn’t they tell me that when I first came in and asked to see the specific vehicle… and said don’t they have a real time inventory management system… the general manager said, no, Moaz wouldn’t know specifically what cars they still had…. I asked them when the service manager bought the car… they said several hours ago…. I told them that this was awful customer service…. In my opinion, they came across as stereotypical “used car salesmen”…. would never recommend using a dealership that treats potential customers like this…. I told the "general manager" that I would be complaining and writing bad reviews... didn't seem to phase hm as he had no response... again, awful customer service approach.... August 11, 2016 - As a follow up... I just looked back on the dealer's website and noticed that they are still listing the vehicle.... wondering how this can be if they sold it last Friday...only serves to reinforce my earlier comments.... Excellent, Quick, and Hassle Free! I had been dreading buying a car since April. All I kept saying was I cannot spend five hours in a dealership on my day off! I initially contacted B I had been dreading buying a car since April. All I kept saying was I cannot spend five hours in a dealership on my day off! I initially contacted Ben Canarick by email pleading to do as much as I could both by email and online. Ben was understanding of my situation, super efficient, and a sincere pleasure to deal with. I would recommend Ben to anyone that I know who is shopping for a car and doesn't want to waste time with back and forth nonsense. Everyone at Hungtington Honda that I had interactions with was kind, friendly, and helpful. They even let my daughter play around in the new showroom cars while I was filling out some paperwork! I cannot say enough about how wonderful my experience was except that Ben has a customer for life! More
High Pressure Sales Tactics & Scam Artists The dealership uses high-pressure sales tactics while trying to make you feel that they are giving you a great lease deal when actually that they are The dealership uses high-pressure sales tactics while trying to make you feel that they are giving you a great lease deal when actually that they are not. We went to dealership on Saturday and were quickly set up to lease the car of our choice for a lot more money than we wanted to pay. Still, we put a down payment on car went home and researched the purchase some more and confirmed our 'great deal' wasn't so great. On Monday instead of going to get the new car I went to get my down payment back and were greeted with "we want your business" offering us 3 dollars less a month then our better offer and including their finishing our old lease which the other offer did not do. We returned with our old car to accept deal. That's where the misdirection and flim-flamming started. They bombard you with numbers and rush you to confuse you and eventually wear you down. We were there for over 4 1/2 hours. Every time we questioned something or asked them to explain something, they rushed us. One example of this was when calculator was pulled out several numbers entered without us seeing and the result indicating that we were paying at least 500 less than calculated amount. On Saturday and on Monday we indicated that we wanted to pay anything extra up front. For the Saturday calculation which included taxes, one months payment, and DMV costs, we were given an amount. We ended up paying almost $500 more for a car that was supposed to cost less! Later we reviewed the contract which they didn't want us to read, just sign. We noticed that we paid over $600 upfront!! On original Lease order, the salesperson indicated only the amount due at signing but not what that included. This way they were able to scam us into pay the monthly fee on top of that even though it was supposed to be included in original total. I actually went outside to go to my old car so they would not see that I was ready to cry. Who cries when they are getting a new car?!! Now we are stuck paying at least $40 more a month for our car per month. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else! More
