Exceeded my expectations! I have been going to a competitor (Hassel Volvo) for years, and when I called there recently to make an appointment I was told they were in the middle I have been going to a competitor (Hassel Volvo) for years, and when I called there recently to make an appointment I was told they were in the middle of being sold and could not service my car. It was a week before the 4th of July holiday and I was taking a long trip with my family and had to get the car in. I called Volvoville, expecting to be told "No" to my last minute request. I spoke to Terry, and then to a service consultant, Jon Whidden. Terry and Jon were beyond accommodating, scheduling my appointment for the very next day, and even arranging for a ride to work for me. Dealing with Jon Whidden was a great experience. Like most people, especially with a car that is out of factory warranty, I'm always nervous of getting ripped off at a dealership. I always felt that I was getting "raked over the coals" at Hassel. Things were vastly different at Volvoville. Jon was most concerned about the reason why I was bringing the car in the first place, which was an issue that that had been going on for months, that Hassel could not fix after several attempts. He seemed to know right away what I was talking about, and promised to confer with the mechanic to be sure it would be repaired once and for all. I found it very comforting that almost all of Volvoville's mechanics have been there for 20+ years. I had my car back the same day, problem solved (finally!), and I had them do some additional work that Jon had recommended. Not once did I feel pressured into making unnecessary repairs, in fact Jon informed me on what could wait and what should be done now, which I really appreciated considering money is tight these days. I really felt that Jon was on my side and was looking out for my best interests. Rather than feeling ripped off when I left, I felt like I had made a new friend. It's rare to have a good feeling when you leave a car dealership - if you own a Volvo and are looking for a top-notch dealership to build a relationship with, your search is over. More

My bad experience at Volvoville Huntington service dept Have been going to Volvoville of Huntington over the last year. My transmission in my (2002 S60) was slipping and my climate control wasn't blowing o Have been going to Volvoville of Huntington over the last year. My transmission in my (2002 S60) was slipping and my climate control wasn't blowing out air on the driver's side. The "fix" was to update the computer for both items. Well, about $430 later the car was not fixed. Logically I think about it, how could a computer upgrade fix a transmission. Well $3700 later the transmission was rebuilt. A few months later I am now in for a fuel pump $963.97. A few month after that the car states that the "alarm triggered check car". Bring car in and they say it is the Alarm Module. I get it fixed for $465.71. 2 days after picking up the car I cant get in the truck. Bring it back. I never had a problem with my truck before. It would appear that since the alarm is hooked to the truck, something may not have been connected correctly. Without my authorization Russell repaired the suspected crimped wire by splicing it at $129 later. REALLY! I didn't authorize it but $129 to splice! Spoke to Paul Rocco the manager who very reluctantly finally removed the $129 charge. I believe that the crimped wire was triggering the alarm from the start. Be aware of the loaner cars when returned! The loaner car I received was very dirty on the outside including several bird dropping dripping on the car. This car was not prepped for me to borrow. I made sure the car didn't have major dents or blemishes in the main body of the car. It didn't occur to me to get on my hands and knees to examine every nook and cranny on the rim of the tire. I returned the loaner car, a very small smudge ( like a brush mark) was shown to me on the drivers side tire rim. To my knowledge this didn't happen to me while the car was in my procession. Paul Rocco told me I needed to pay $160 to resurface the rim. I believe that since the $129 was written off that the dealership was looking for anyway to recoup this money. They were adamant to accuse me of damaging the car and making me responsible to pay. I drove that car approximately 20 miles. In addition, the valet left his cell phone in the loaner car and came to my house at 9:00pm the night I pick up the loaner car. Someone in the dealership or the valet was some how able to get into the computer and looked up my personal information which included my address, my work place, and my credit card information. This is a violation of my personal information. More
