Title: Disappointing Experience After Purchase – Poor Attention to Detail I recently purchased a 2017 Toyota Highlander XLE AWD from Hyannis Honda. While the salesperson and finance team were friendly Attention to Detail I recently purchased a 2017 Toyota Highlander XLE AWD from Hyannis Honda. While the salesperson and finance team were friendly during the sale, the post-sale experience has been very frustrating. Before taking delivery, we specifically asked them to remove a nest we found under the engine cover and to inspect the area for any damage from the critters (wires, hoses, etc.). They assured us it would be handled before we picked up the vehicle on Friday. When we got there, nothing had been done — the nest was still there and the area was not cleaned or inspected. Additionally, we clearly requested new plates during the paperwork process. Instead, they transferred the old plates, forcing us to make yet another trip back to the dealership. The vehicle also did not have a current Massachusetts inspection sticker when we took delivery. We’ve now had to return to the dealership multiple times for issues that should have been resolved before we drove off the lot. This level of follow-through is disappointing, especially after spending a significant amount on a used vehicle. The car itself seems like a solid Highlander, but the lack of care in the final prep and delivery process left a bad taste. I hope Hyannis Honda improves their attention to detail on post-sale service so other customers don’t have the same experience. More
