Classic high pressure dealership I received one of Hyundai's "we need your car" calls. Obviously it was a type of robo call as it was from out of state. The caller said they wanted ju I received one of Hyundai's "we need your car" calls. Obviously it was a type of robo call as it was from out of state. The caller said they wanted just 15 minutes of my time and would give me a written offer on my 2013 Santa Fe Sport. I told him I needed to ask my wife before committing to an appointment and asked for a call back. He said he would call in an hour. No return call. The next day as I was writing an email to the general manager I got a new call from a different area code with the same line. I said I preferred to deal directly with the dealership if at all. In response to my email I was contacted by one of the sales managers, whose name I have forgotten. I explained we were not really looking to trade but had been interested in finding out what we might get and if there were a really good offer we might consider it. He said he would set up an appointment with himself so I went in. I was immediately handed off to a salesman. I looked at the one vehicle I would have been willing to purchase. As soon as a first offer was made it was clear to me we were not going to do business. When I told the salesman my parameters he immediately tried to explain to me why I should just consider a longer term, "because 72 months is what everybody does these day." Not me! He then began to scold me for wasting his time. Now there is a great model of customer service! When it was obvious I was not happy the manager with whom I was supposed to have an appointment came over. I explained my frustration and left, for the last time! I have owned three Santa Fes and serviced all of them at the dealership in another state with whom I had a much more pleasant relationship. I have used this dealership a couple of times since moving to the area. The service personnel were pleasant enough but the waiting area is not closed off and I endured the nonstop music, which would be more appropriate in a nightclub than a waiting area, each time. I have actually traded my car now with a different dealership which was much more professional and treated me like a customer. More

Second time purchased I had previously purchased a Hyundai Santa Fe from Hyundai of Asheville, looking at their website I noticed they had a 4Runner I wanted.
