New to St. Augustine we checked out all the car dealers along US1 in the hope of finding a more practical car than the sebring convertible we brought with us. We were open to many makes and just tried to find the car we felt good about. Working with Paul at Hyundai was an excellent experience. He was friendly and caring and helpful and honest. We came back and forth for a week...while also looking at cars on other lots. He was extreemly helpful without being pushy. He also was very knowledgable about not only the hyundai but the other previously owned vehicles on his lot. The owner and manager were also very nice. Hyundai of St. Augustine comes highly recommended to anyone looking for a new or previously owned vehicle. More

As of last Saturday, 1/22/11, I actively started looking for a car. I started off at Coggin Honda of St. Augustine, but they were not able to accommodate my needs. In addition, I kind of felt as though I was being pressured into "making a deal". I had to leave and I said I would contact them the next day. They contacted me and we went back and forth with numbers, but it still didn't work and then they used the "well, there's another salesman working with someone else on the car that you liked". I told them to give it to them. On Sunday, 1/23/11, I decided to go to Hyundai because I REALLY liked the look of the new Sonata and was curious as to how it drove. I was greeted by Demetrius Davis and he helped me find the model that would fit into my budget. I didn't even have to turn the key to know that I really liked the feel and look of the interior. Demetrius took me on a test drive and after that, I was hooked. He was more than patient with me because I really didn't know what color I wanted. With him I never felt rushed, pressured, nor did I feel like he was getting "tired" of me. I apologized several times because I was tired of ME. (ha ha). While talking price, we were referred to Jimmy Feliciano, and he tried to get the payoff value from Toyota. He had no luck, so he said he would call me on Monday. We told him we didn't want to go over a certain amount and he worked with us every step of the way. After we decided to purchase the vehicle, we went back on Thursday to pick it out. Now I had to find another color, because I changed my mind on the color I had originally picked out. Demetrius was MORE than helpful and patient while he contacted another dealer to find the color I liked. That didn't work out, so I decided on the Black Plum Pearl instead. On Friday, 1/28/11, I went to pick up my car. It was waiting for me as I arrived and when I touched it, it felt rough, not that smooth "just waxed" feeling. I brought it to the attention of Demetrius and he in turn showed Wade. Wade agreed and sent it back to be re-detailed. He said it was going to be a while, so they offered me a loaner vehicle to go about my day. When I came back, I saw Tinsley and he took me back to my car. The hood still felt funny and he let me stay with him while he clay-barred the hood again. He wasn't going to let me leave until he knew I was happy. As a matter of fact, I may be looking for an additional vehicle in August before my daughter goes to college and I will check with Hyundai of St. Augustine before I go anywhere else. You have a very large selection. The salesman (Paul smathers)was very nice and listened to what we wanted not what he thought we should buy like some places do. We went to other hyundai dealers and the prices at st Augustine were much cheaper.we also got what our trade-in was worth that's an experience I have never had before.it's nice to see a car company stand behind there cars with a very good warranty.I tell everyone that's thinking of buying a car that they have to check you out unless they don't like excellent service at very good prices. They gave me what I wanted to hear. Then I went to 2 other dealerships. KIA and Chev they were not as helpfull and the price had so many hidden cost. I went back and bought my car for Hyundai. This dealership was absolutely wonderful! I am from Tallahassee and found a 2008 Scion tC on Hyundai of St. Augustine's website that I wanted information about. Assisting me was Randy Selph, one of the Tallahassee and found a 2008 Scion tC on Hyundai of St. Augustine's website that I wanted information about. Assisting me was Randy Selph, one of the car salesmen. He was patient, HONEST about the car's condition, and willing to work with me over the phone. The dealership brought the price of the car down to within my budget and also gave me a generous amount for my trade-in vehicle. I drove to St. Augustine (3.5 hours from home) and we finished up the deal within 1 hour. Everything from start to finish was smooth and professional. I will absolutely recommend this dealership and Randy Selph to any of my friends here in Tallahassee that are looking for a great deal and friendly service. More

This was by far one of the best experiences I have ever had when purchasing a new vehicle. After doing research on line and asking for quotes, Hyundai of St Augustine handled everything in a very professi had when purchasing a new vehicle. I had another dealer, which was closer to my home, continue to "harass" me because I had not been to the showroom. Prior to my retiring, I was an instructor for a large multi-national company and one of the subjects I taught was "Legendary Customer Service". If I was still instructing on that subject I would use Hyundai of St Augustine as a prime example of what Legendary Customer Service is about. In addition to the professional attitude of the whole dealership, Paul Smathers could be used as example of professionalism on a poster. He explained everything in great detail and was a pleasure to work with. All of the contacts I had at Hyundai of St Augustine were very professional, however, I worked with Paul Smathers throughout the transaction. Even though he was new to this dealership, and sometimes didn't know the correct answer, he handled all inquiries very professionally. If he was unsure of an answer, he didn't try to "blow smoke" as I have had happen at other dealers. Finding the correct answer was of the highest priority for Paul, so he could relate it to me. Would I purchase another vehicle from, or recommend to my friends, Hyundai of St Augustine? You can rest assured I would have no second thoughts about either! More
