Months of broken promises trying to buy 2022 Tucson plug in hybrid. Granted they were in short supply and high demand, but Ideal’s customer service couldn’t have been worse. Was asked on a Saturday in February whether I wanted one that just came in. I said yes, but was away from the area until Monday and I asked if it could wait until Monday. Was told they would get back to me. Never heard back until I called a few days later to find out they sold it to someone else. Was told in April that I should order one from the Hyundai and get exactly what I wanted. Negotiated price (that included thousands of dollars above sticker price) and trade-in amount for my car (less than what I was told in February), signed paperwork, was told we had a deal, and that I would have the car in 4-5 weeks (end of May). No contact from Ideal, except when I would call, through the end of October. My questions about when the car would be available were answered with “another month,” or “don’t know.” Finally, was told they had a car for me at the end of October, that it was being delivered to Ideal late that afternoon, and that I should come in and sign the updated paperwork. The first thing they did when I arrived was lower the price of my trade-in because it had more miles and shrug their shoulders when I said I thought we had a deal. Then they told me the new car wasn’t there and it would be there tomorrow. It wasn’t. Then they told me they didn’t know when it would be there, but hopefully soon. Car finally came about 10 days later. Went to pick up and have a walk through of the all the features and controls, which had been promised multiple times, only to hear excuses that they were too busy working with other customers to show me the car’s features and that I should figure it out on my own. They also promised me a set of all season floor mats to make up for all the inconvenience. Said they didn't have them in stock, and would get them and send them to me. They never did. I would never buy another car there or recommend them to anyone. More
Service department is horrible. They are unable to diagnose any problem the first time. You’ll have to bring (or have towed) vehicle back multiple times to have it repaired. Then when you’re inconvenienced multiple times, you’ll have to pay for your own rental and tow, even though the problem was finally covered under warranty. They take no responsibility for their incompetence and tell you that’s how it goes. Extremely lazy, no integrity and absolutely zero level of customer service. More
