Carl was terrific, knowledgable, and sold the car. Rob was professional, courteous, and helped to secure the deal. I have told both of your employees this story: In 2005, when the Highlander Hybrid was professional, courteous, and helped to secure the deal. I have told both of your employees this story: In 2005, when the Highlander Hybrid was about to launch, I came to your dealership to put my name on the waiting list for the first one. The sales manager I worked with had not even heard of the car, so I apparently was the first to tell him that it was coming. He told me that Jaffarian would be "slapping a $5,000 premium on the car" right away. I was dumbfounded, and asked him why. He said "Because we can." I walked out, drove directly to Rockingham Toyota, and purchased the car that afternoon with cash. Not a word of that "premium" garbage. I have had excellent service and support there ever since. I was left with such a terrible taste in my mouth about Jaffarian, that I swore I would not only never go back, but would tell everyone I possibly could about that encounter. I have done so for the past 6+ years. When it came time for a new car, however, I decided to give you guys one more chance. My wife and I are Haverhill residents, and we prefer to do business locally and support our local community, businesses, and economy. I was, however, prepared to have the same experience, and not looking forward to it. Carl turned this around, by his knowledge, friendliness, determination to close this deal and make things right, and followup service. He is a true asset, and you should treat him as such. Rob has also been very helpful, searching out my new car and keeping me informed of his progress. He agreed to support the trade-in price we negotiated, even though he was "surprised" at the offer I had been given. I liked working with him. The morale: It only takes a couple of stupid, careless or unconscious words to ruin a deal and a potential relationship, and to create a permanent bad taste in someone's mouth that could do you infinite harm in the business world. You only get one chance to make a great first impression. You failed to do that the first time, but rectified it the second time. Not many businesses get the gift of a second chance. More
I had a great experience with Sarkis and Louis, they were excellent. However, when my financial process was being done by a different man in the financial department, I felt very condescended by him. He told me that it wasn't his problem I couldn't get the price I needed, instead he said "it's your credit not mine.". My husband even felt as though he was rude especially after I started crying because I had just recently lost my car in a total loss and came to Volvo to buy something new and safe. Sarkis really helped out the situation and ultimately got me the price I needed in addition to Louis. More
