I bought a Chevy HHR about 10 days ago, and I must say that I am very happy with it. It is a quiet comfortable peppy little car with a great ride. However, it almost didn't happen. I used the Cash for Clunkers program which requires proof of 365 days if continuous registration which for most of us requires the previous year registration along the the current year. When the DMV faxed the document there was a typo indicating that I had registered the clunker the previous year, and that it had expired the year before that, suggeting a negative year of registration. I think the DMV was getting overwhelemed by the clunker program and the 800 number was also overwhelmed. This was on the fourth day of the program and there was all ready talk about running out of money. Without the $4500 I would not have been able to afford the car, and time was running out. Kelly, called the DMV. The distance required went beyond the initial contact to her superviser, then to the next superviser over a duration of about an hour and a half over the phone. I originally contacted Jeff Wyler's about a Chevy Cobalt. I had a vehicle that qualified for the 'cash for clunkers' gimmick and wanted to get an economy car for daily commuting. I was not looking for anything with special options. All I wanted was a car with 4 doors, cruise control, A/C, and a manual transmission. Well, they couldn't get into my price range on a Cobalt, so my salesman, Kelly Kaylor, went walking the lots to find a car that would fit in my budget and would not be tiny car. That is when he found an Elantra that had what I wanted and a lot more. It was a much better deal than the Cobalt. I never set foot on the dealer lot until I had a car picked out and waiting on me! It was so painless. I did all negotiating over the phone and the car was waiting for me at the door when I got there. Kelly had most of the paper work completed when I pulled up. Also, he never once tried to sell me on 'extras' that I didn't want. I went in knowing what I wanted, and came out getting more than I expected at a great price! There was a slight scuff on the front bumper and they set it up so I can bring it in to be buffed out and I'll get a rental car for the time it is in the shop. Kelly made sure to introduce me to the manager before I left and I spent 15 - 20 minutes talking to Rick about Hyundai's and their warranty. Over all, it was a great buying experience. It was simple, fast, and there was never any real 'haggling'. They met my needs just as I saw them, no less and much much more! More

I had purchased a Chevrolet from Jeff Wyler 6 years ago. I felt comfortable then with my salesman but I knew he had left. Mr Kaylor went above and beyond to find us a vehicle we could afford. Even going so far as to come in on his day off to sell us the car.
