Normal car dealership experience. The deal was somewhat difficult. I picked out the car I wanted and let them appraise my vehicle. At first I was offered $17000 for my vehicle which bo The deal was somewhat difficult. I picked out the car I wanted and let them appraise my vehicle. At first I was offered $17000 for my vehicle which booked for $22000 plus on kbb for clean trade. I was told that kbb was not an accurate representation of value. I then informed sales staff I was merely using the valuation tool provided on their website which happened to be kbb. The vehicle also had a dealer added sticker price which includes paint protection, pinstripe, and identity theft protection for $2000 plus dollars above MSRP. This added price was NOT the listed sale price that was posted on the dealers website. After some debate I left the dealership informing the salesman what I would pay to buy the car. In about 30 minutes I received a call and we came to terms. In the finance office I was presented with a out the door number which was about $50 more than what I was promised. This was then modified. I was then presented with a payment using a rate which was not the 0.9 We wanted instead it was 3. something for 72 months. The finance person informed us he assumed we would want the longer term for the lower payment. He never asked us what rate we wanted prior to keying in the information. This had to be modified. I have bought cars at other dealerships in which I did not have to struggle so much to get a good deal. I informed staff I believed their internet pricing is deceptive in that people see the "final price" and expect to pay such upon arrival. The response to this was everything is in the fine print. Be careful and do your homework before buying a car. Know your values and shop around for the best deal. More
