Thank you for sharing your experience with us, Chris. We are still looking in to your situation, but we do apologize for the miscommunication. When setting your appointment to get the transmission looked at, the scheduler should have informed you that we do not have any Journeymen Technicians (mechanics trained to do work that is more than routine maintenance) available on weekends. As a result, appointments made for these type of services are for drop off only, and the transmission would have been looked at on Monday. The $99 is a diagnostic charge. Your service advisor likely informed you of this specifically because the problem you are experiencing is intermittent. If we cannot get the problem to act up, we are unable to find the problem and therefore unable to fix it. If we would have been able to get the problem to happen, the diagnostic would be put towards the cost of repairs, which would likely have been under warranty. We always try to take care of our customers to the best of our ability, and we're sorry you didn't feel that way on your last visit. We are more than happy to have a Journeyman or a manager go with you on a test drive to see if we can get the transmission problem to act up while you're here. We would just need to make sure your appointment is set for a day that we have the right people here to look at the problem. We were never told about the fee. We actually were told there is no fee because our car is less than year old with 13000 miles. Unfortunately the issue does not show up every time I drive but when it does my RPMs shoot up and the it engages and jerks the truck. Very scary when you are on the highway in traffic. Sorry you can not take a customers word for it. Have someone drive with me is hit and miss and making it during the week is impossible for me due to my schedule.

Doug is off today so we can't speak with him about this, but Greg said he did his best to document the problems that you were experiencing with your car exactly how you wanted, and corrected it for you multiple times to try to help. They are correct that in the end, the diagnostic is what determines what is wrong and what is covered, not how we note it in the ticket. The notations provided only serve as a guide to the technician for areas to look for problems. We're glad your repairs were covered under warranty!
