Work gets done but very expensive Ok, we all know that a dealership is going to be more expensive with the upkeep and maintenance of a vehicle than a independent owner, right? So know Ok, we all know that a dealership is going to be more expensive with the upkeep and maintenance of a vehicle than a independent owner, right? So knowing that, I would NEVER go to a dealership to get my care serviced until I bought my Yukon Denali. I had taken it to Autozone to do a basic battery replacement and the guy told me, "I am not going to touch that with the way they have that battery stationed under the harness". That told me right there that something about these cars are different. I truly believe that GMC made these cars so that only their dealerships/technicians can work on them. I had another small repair I wanted done but another car service place said they didn't feel comfortable working on this truck without violating the warranty. So needless to say I still go to the dealership to save myself time from being told they can't do it. (If anyone reading this knows of a independent auto repair ship, please let me know). So Jim Ellis GMC, I have nothing bad to say about them, it's just expensive. I just bought my truck in for the 100K service where they CHANGED FLUIDS, (differential fluid, coolant fluid, transmission fluid, oil change, spark plugs - that was it) my bill came to a whooping $1300 with $800 being labor!!! I think that is outrageous! Luckily I have the money (yes I was given a "estimate" beforehand) or I would have been stuck like Chuck! Now I'm no mechanic, but that just seems way out of line to charge that much for changing fluids. I've gotten actual repairs from this place (fuel injectors replaced) and it didn't cost that much! So I'll end this with I'm very much going to really try and find a auto shop that can work on GMC Yukon's cause it can't be this expensive to maintain, yes it's a high end truck but labor is thru the roof, IMO.... Other than that, employees are nice, place is nice if you have to sit and wait, even the shuttle and driver are nice. Would love it if it wasn't so pricey.... More

Rude service This is the second time I have had this service advisor. Both times he has been rude and it seemed an effort for him to help me. Free wiper blades w This is the second time I have had this service advisor. Both times he has been rude and it seemed an effort for him to help me. Free wiper blades were included in the service and he forgot to have it done. He seemed annoyed that I realized it. Instead of having them installed he simply put the blades on the check out counter and walked off. Even though I bought my car at this dealership I will not be back for service. More

Unnecessary roughness handling my vehicle. When parking my Acadia the tech did not come to a complete stop when changing gears from Drive to Reverse and from Reverse to Drive(Causes transmissio When parking my Acadia the tech did not come to a complete stop when changing gears from Drive to Reverse and from Reverse to Drive(Causes transmission problems). Radio tuner changed and volume turned so high that I could hear it in the customer lounge. I went to investigate when I realized that this was my vehicle. I noticed that my Acadia was driven off site for tire rotation. After asking the Service Advisor why, I was told that the my Acadia had to be taken across the street to have the tires rotated. Oil, oil filter change and tire rotation should be completed at one facility and not two or more. To me, this is inappropriate behavior when handling a customer's vehicle in a rough manner. After all, I am the customer and at the very least expect those handling my vehicle to treat it appropriately. FYI: Invoice No. 569385, Date of service:29 March 2019 Service Advisor: John Anderson This makes me wonder how the technician drove my Acadia to the tire rotation shop across the street. More
