Dropped my car off 5/23. Little to no communication occurred after that. Parts weren’t even ordered until mid July. Little to no communication followed that as well. Fast forward to last week my car was finally ready, but my battery was dead because it had sat motionless for 3+ months. Dealership advised that I was on the hook for that even though it was their fault. Upon receiving my car I discovered that my AC unit is also not working now (it was working prior to leaving at dealership). Dealership is not responding to my requests for a reason as to why this is the case. Car was also disgusting on the outside when typically the dealership washes it prior to delivery. All around terrible experience compounded by extra work that I’m now paying for and the service team making me feel like the jerk. I would not recommend this service department to an enemy of mine. Let me first start by saying I have had not so good visits to this dealership’s service center before but today was exceptionally good because they finally got the part in stock and replaced it and cal visits to this dealership’s service center before but today was exceptionally good because they finally got the part in stock and replaced it and called me back within 3-4 hours. This is totally reasonable and the way things should be done always. They need to make a diagnosis in no more than 48 hours then reschedule you for the repair for the day they are actually going to do it. It is totally unacceptable to think it’s okay to take 3 weeks just to look at a car and you not have a car to drive. I hope that Kia dealership’s service centers begin to mirror the manufacturer’s warranties. Corporate Kia should ensure that the independent dealers represent Kia products well. Again Jim Ellis dealerships please start caring more about your service centers. Again today’s experience with Robert Billings as service advisor and Alan Lopez as mechanic was my best visit to this department ever. Hopefully Mr Stewart the service manager will continue improve this location! More
