Not customer focused after selling a vehicle Bought car in June. Horrible Customer Service after you buy. Delay on plates, missing key, Bank they financed with missing insurance information that I will supply. They do not return calls or answer emails in a timely fashion and sometimes just don't answer. Put in a complaint on line, no response. Key now in after 2 months and needs to be programmed. My son is told he needs to come during the day or 7:30-12:00 Saturdays. He is supposed to take off from his new job so he can accommodate their desired hours? He has driven across the bridge to stay in Rockland many times hoping to get his plates so he can get inspection done. Got plates when he called to say the temp plates expired and he could get a fine. Has been trying to get the key but they never found it so I asked them to order a new one. It has to be programmed so he said 6pm is when he can get there but no it can only be during the day. The car was not cheap, the fault is with the Dealership so they should accommodate my son. Horrible customer service but nice car More

The attitude of some of the people there is not friendly and they don't seem to be customer oriented. We've had a few incidences with the repair department that we have not been happy with. Just recently we brought the vehicle in due to an electrical issue and they wanted to replace the battery for $200 even though the battery was fine. Now my mom's lease on her current Tiguan is almost up and she wants to switch to a Cadillac. We have the vehicle inspected by SGS and we're all set to turn it in. We are ready to pick up the new Cadillac today and need to return the Volkswagen. We just called Joe Heidt Motors to inform them that we MUST bring the vehicle in today as we are transferring the plates from the Volkswagen to the Cadillac. We need the plates off the VW to pick up the Cadillac. We've been calling Joe Heidt Motors for two hours now and been getting the runaround. They say they will call back but they don't. They're telling us "they don't have the room on the lot to take the vehicle". If you're going to buy or lease a Volkswagen you're better off going to a different dealer. We've heard that from a lot of people that have Volkswagens. More

Scott and Juan in sales took good care of me when I purchased a certified pre-owned car. Mike in finance made sure that I got a great loan rate and got the right amount of extra warranty on the car. Joe in service couldn't be any nicer. My car had an issue with a wear part that was technically "out of warranty"; however, the dealership took care of this cost as I have only had the car for a couple of months. I have dealt with a good number of car dealerships over the years and I never worked with a more honest, caring group of people then everyone at Joe Heidt VW. More

Patrick went above and beyond to make me feel at ease and shared his wealth of knowledge with me as he answered all of my questions. Just a good experience I saw the car of my dreams on a Saturday night in the lot of Joe Heidt. First thing Monday morning I called and asked to speak with a sales person... I saw the car of my dreams on a Saturday night in the lot of Joe Heidt. First thing Monday morning I called and asked to speak with a sales person...I was connected with Juan and two hours later the car was mine. Juan was as professional as one could ask for. Courteous, knowledgeable and real....I enjoyed buying a car from him very much......................Then Robert worked his magic on my trade in and I walked away from Joe Heidt a very happy customer. (and Robert was the reason I was there in the first place). I had stopped in one night at closing time and Robert greeted me and just seemed like the kind of guy I could trust, so when the time came to be a serious buyer I sought out his dealership as opposed to the 10 other VW I could have gone too. Both men made my experience a very nice one indeed. More

Despicable and deceptive customer service I recently went to Joe Heidt to have them look at the malfunctioning blower motor resistor (regulates the amount of air that blows through the AC) th I recently went to Joe Heidt to have them look at the malfunctioning blower motor resistor (regulates the amount of air that blows through the AC) that was replace 15 months ago. I was told that the part was only under warranty for a year. Really?! The original part lasted for 6 years. Now I'm expected to replace it every year and a half? I was there from 8:30 -11:30 and in that time they didn't even look at the car. The car was never moved from the original parking spot I left it in. There were no adjustments to my seats/mirrors (which they always do when someone drives the car into the service bay) or the fan speed (to test it). After 2 1/2 hours I went to service to see what the delay was they said that is wasn't the blower motor resistor (which I paid $188- to have replaced, but another part that would cost $450 to replace. I know this is not the case as I had my car in service at another VW dealership 2 days earlier to replace tires and they diagnosed the issue as the blower motor resistor. But since Joe Heidt had replace the unit, they suggested I go back to them to remedy the issue. Upon leaving, they told me they washed my car (which they did not). Thus, they wasted my entire morning and tried to up sell me a service I didn't need. I bought my car from them and usually have my car serviced there but now wonder what else I was unnecessarily charged for in service. I will no longer be using their service (or lack there of). To bad for them since service is where they make their money. Perhaps they should call themselves Joe Heist!! More
