When Cody Byers first reached out to me and asked if I was still interested in trading or buying a vehicle. I let him know that yes I was but was looking at a used, approximately 2018 with low miles cause I didn’t want high payments, which I had seen that they had a 2018 Ford Escape with low mileage. We texted back and forth and he asked about my car which I told him it had high mileage due to living in Salem and working in xx. Louis. He was very persistent about me coming to their lot ASAP. I explained that I wasn’t going to waste my time or his if there was no deal. He then asked for my mileage, vin # and pictures of my car. I sent all that info and he said they had a vehicle for me. And he actually sent me some pictures of a couple used vehicles. I told him that I wanted to know what my interest rate would be, my payments and for how long. I also explained that I had been taken by a financial officer at the previous lot where I got stuck into buying my Equinox. He, Cody then said that his boss Matt would be calling me. I let him know that I might lose his call cause of where I was. Them Matt finally called and told me that the bank was closed and he would text me back in the morning with the info. $486 a month, 5.4% interest rate and 72 months. I wasn’t happy about it but beings I was upside down with my car, and have tried everything I could to trade it in, I kinda felt relieved. But not happy with the high payment and the term of months. I didn’t know until later that the reason for the huge payment and number of months was because instead of a used vehicle, which would have my payments much lower and maybe les months, it was a new vehicle. But then again, Cody said they had a lot of rebates going on and that he would do what he could to help me get rid of my present vehicle. Took the car for a test drive, which don’t get me wrong, it’s really nice but Cody and I sat in the car for a bit and when I told him that I wasn’t really thrill about the high payments and why ( having problems making ends meet ) and how the last dealership didn’t only more less force me to sign the contract, but that dealership did it to 3 others in the same month. Then when in with Matt, we were talking back and forth about work, family, things going on in the world..etc, he showed my the warranty info and said that he gave me the bronze deal and my first thought was wow, these guys are really legit but still concerned about the high payments and number of months ( 6 years ). He had me start signing the paperwork and all but not really explaining everyone. And actually I didn’t know how much I paid for this car until the next day when I called my insurance, nor did I know that he/they DID NOT give me that Bronze warranty, I am paying for that. And I still haven’t looked at the paperwork work cause I don’t want to know what else they hid from me and stuck me with paying for. And I swore I wouldn’t fall for this stuff again nor would I ever buy a Chevy again due to what happened before but I have come to terms that all salesmen and finance officers are full of a bunch of lies and take advantage of women! Sorry to say I will never shop your lot again nor send anyone that direction due to if this is how they treat women, I don’t want another one to go through it like myself. And I was 100% honest with them and treat people the way I would want them to treat me. I also just got in the mail for a loan in the amount of $19081.00, which tells me that I didn’t get what I was asking ( and offered by another dealership) for my car. This was possibly for the used Escape that I figured that I could afford and would be able to make the payments easier. So instead of telling me that they couldn’t help me, they put me in a new car with about the same monthly payments. And if things don’t work out where I am currently living, I will 100% be living on the street cause I won’t be able to afford to live anyone else. Dawn
