Bad smell from ac Took in a navigator with 31000 miles on it. Has a horrible musty smell when the ac kicks on. Expected it to be a filter needing replaced. When I picked it up I was told there is no cabin air filter on that model and there wasn’t much they could do. They cleaned the vents and added some air freshener scent. Now it smells musty when the ac turns on and like someone is spraying bathroom air freshener the rest of the time. An awful solution that seems like a quick cheap fix instead of finding the real problem. Not sure who I worked with so I just picked a name in service so it would accept my review More

slightly aggravated My car ended up being there for over a week for very simple repairs which is fine, they did set me up with a rental car. Whatever.. . However, I My car ended up being there for over a week for very simple repairs which is fine, they did set me up with a rental car. Whatever.. . However, I asked for a basic wash, if possible, and was told it was for $50. Great. well it wasnt $50 worth of clean and I found a note inside my car from the service manager, Steve, calling my car a "turd," specifically "polish the turd". This is the nicest car I've ever had. I know it was a little dirty but that was offensive and hurt my feelings. More

Excellent Customer Service My check engine light came on while driving to work this morning. I stopped by Joe Machens at lunch to see if they could check out my car and give me My check engine light came on while driving to work this morning. I stopped by Joe Machens at lunch to see if they could check out my car and give me an idea of what the problem could be. Tim Taylor assisted me and although they were swamped and he had no one available at the time, he asked me to stop by later this afternoon so they could run a diagnostic check. He was concerned with the heat and didn’t want me stranded on the road if it was something major. I stopped by again about 3 pm today and Tim Taylor again assisted me. He grabbed Steve Johnson and they ran the codes on my vehicle to find out it was only a sensor. The fixed me up, cleared out the error code and got me on my way! Thank you to both of these men for not telling me to simply drop it off and they would get back to me. They both went out of their way to help and I am completely grateful for them both! More

Poor review of service This week I went to get my oil changed in my Ford Escape. It was recommended that my tires be rotated but otherwise they were fine. That same evening, one of my tires blew out while driver on the hwy. when I want to get my tire replaced, two separate businesses said all my tires needed to be replaced because they were worn down. I would have appreciated if JoeMachens would have noticed this and spared the cost of the tire rotation, the tow truck for my blow out, etc. More

Good experience I had a list of maintenance and repair items. Everything done well and after a couple days the repairs seem successful.
