Hi, I did go back for the mechanic to take look at my car to find out what the noise was. They were not able to fix it. I was told that the rust accumulation on the piece of metal near the rotors was causing the sound and it should go away once some of the rust is worn off. My car still makes the sound occasionally. They told me that they could remove the piece of metal next time I come in for service. But to me, there shouldn’t be any rust. Why wouldn’t the metal be treated so it doesn’t rust or use a different type of metal? Sometimes I feel that the various parts are designed to cost the customer more money. My headlight has condensation inside because the seal or gasket has broken down around the fixture. But that can’t be replaced. Instead, a whole new headlight assembly has to be purchased, which is several hundred dollars. I could go on, but won’t at this time. Something I just have to live with. I’m sure Honda isn’t the only one like this. Thank you for responding. Ruth Meyer

I can't speak for the manufacture of every part they source, I can say that as a consumer myself I can understand the frustrations as cars get older that parts wear down due to the elements, usage, time, etc. The Ohio elements with 4 seasons and salt in the winter play a big part! I'm glad you were able to have our tech look at it and help you understand the situation further. If there's anything else I can help with, let me know.
