My brother also bought a new Honda there recently and had the same experience. My sister-in-law just went to try to purchase a new lease after a call from the dealership to come up for a good deal on her trade in lease and the sales manager John was rude and aggressive in the way he was with her. I went with her and was shocked at the things he said to her and tone he took with her. He asked her "What her problem was!?" . My brother and his wife just experienced the same thing. He bent down at her and spoke to her up in her face as she was seated. He scolded her saying "Do you have a problem! What is your problem!?" "I have already bought your car!" At this point they had looked at vehicles and asked about what the payments would be. They never said they were buying a car yet or signed anything! They were shocked! My family and friends will not be purchasing any more vehicles from this dealership! My father has a Pilot and he will be getting his next new one from a dealership further West. We love Hondas, but we will give no more business to this dealership. More

Found the 2005 Jaguar when searching on Craigslist. I had primarily searched private owner listings only because my finances are very limited and I feel I typically get a better deal that way. There was had primarily searched private owner listings only because my finances are very limited and I feel I typically get a better deal that way. There was one Jaguar listed through a private owner with low miles, but the vehicle sunroof motor was broken and the gas cap release was broken. I had originally planned to go look at it, but when I checked on financing through my bank, discovered they would not finance a car that was older than 2007 unless I wanted to do an unsecured loan with a much higher interest rate. Then I found practically the same car listed on Craigslist through John Hinderer Honda when I expanded my search to dealer listings. It was the same year and within 5000 miles of having the same mileage as the vehicle being sold by private owner. Pricing was almost exactly the same and there were no mechanical issues with this vehicle. I ended up going to the dealership and asked for Matt Harper, with whom I had spoken on the phone to make sure the vehicle was still available, but he was with another customer, so Jim Brown ended up helping me. The test drive went well and I fell in love with the car. I felt no pressure whatsoever during the negotiations. Jim went back and forth a couple of times to check my offer with the Sales Manager, John Durbin, and then John actually came out and spoke with me, too. Everything was very low key and comfortable. I do not handle pressure well when purchasing anything and probably would have walked if the sales associates had made me feel ill at ease. After speaking with John, he and Jim discussed my offer further and then Jim came back and shook my hand and said we have a deal. Yea! Then I went to work out the financing with Frank Ford. He was yet another testament to the hospitality this dealership offers. Paperwork was signed in no time and I was on my way home in my vehicle. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone who is looking for a vehicle. My experience was more than I could have hoped for and when my daughter is ready to look for another vehicle in the next year or so, I will make sure she checks with John Hinderer Honda as her first point of contact. From start to finish Nathan Haughton, delivered exactly what criteria I had established with him before even coming in. No pressure, no dickering and a very easy process. Previous purchases I've always felt like I left money on the table...I sure didn't this time. Highly recommend you check out Hinderer and work with Nathan. More
I saw an appealing ad for a car in Cars.com. Nathan had taken the car in on trade and had driven it. What impressed me most was his candor in describing a front end problem with the car. I drove it, found it exactly as he had described it on the phone, and bought it. I had my mechanic replace the front tires and do an alignment, and now the car is perfect. More
Even though Hinderer Honda had been getting pretty lousy reviews in the past I had no problems negotiating with the sales staff. Since 2003 my wife and I have purchased 4 new Odysseys and 5 new CRVs from t reviews in the past I had no problems negotiating with the sales staff. Since 2003 my wife and I have purchased 4 new Odysseys and 5 new CRVs from this dealership. In my lifetime I have negotiated for and owned 26 new automobiles. I have always negotiated a satisfactory price when it was time to trade in the 'old' car. This April I had a 2012 CRV with 12,000 miles on the odometer and 18 months factory warranty remaining. The sales staff acted as if I had never negotiated a trade-in and actually tried to steal my trade-in (according to their appraisal my mint condition Honda depreciated 30 percent in one year). The sales staff acted as if I was obligated to deal their way and they would not negotiate. John Hinderer and Joe Bertke are still two of my favorite people, although something has gone wrong at this dealership; the service department remains dedicated and competent, but the sales staff is not the Hinderer Honda that I have dealt with in the past, they are a parody of everything that can be distasteful at a dealership. I will never again visit this dealership. My former log in name was "crvguy". More
I came to John Hinderer very optimistic. I was looking for a used vehicle and wanted to trade in my car. This was going to be my first time buying a car on my own and trading the car I have been driving s for a used vehicle and wanted to trade in my car. This was going to be my first time buying a car on my own and trading the car I have been driving since i was 16. I met Nathan and he worked with me to get me into the appopriate car that fit my budget and my vehicle needs. I was more than happy with the customer service from everyone there especially with Nathan's help I drove off in a car that I was more than happy with. I would recommend to everyone that they check out the staff and inventory of this dealership. I myself have worked in the car industry and I know that it can be a challange to find a dealer that not only has excellent customer serivice but also that is able to get you into a car that fit's your needs. So cudos and I can't thank Nathan enough for making it easy and painless. : ) More
