BUYER BEWARE. BEWARE THESE PEOPLE WILL LIE TO YOU, PROMISE THINGS THEY DO NOT DELIVER AND WILL NOT HONOR A SINGLE THING THEY TELL YOU. I WILL NOT PURCHASE ANOTHER CAR FROM THEM NOR WILL I GO BACK T PROMISE THINGS THEY DO NOT DELIVER AND WILL NOT HONOR A SINGLE THING THEY TELL YOU. I WILL NOT PURCHASE ANOTHER CAR FROM THEM NOR WILL I GO BACK THERE FOR SERVICE ON MY CAR. This was our third car purchase from them. WE HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS WITH THEM SINCE, maybe because this one was a used car and not a new one??. First they said that they couldn't give me a loan for the car because of my credit - I took the car to our bank to find out that I couldn't get a loan for the car because they were ASKING MORE FOR IT THAN WHAT IT WAS WORTH and there was NOTHING WRONG WITH OUR CREDIT. When I came back from the bank and gave them THAT information they were more willing to negotiate a better price until I got in the office to sign the loan documents. The loan agent kept trying to add items into the loan that I didn't want. When I got upset and left, the owner, Mr. Hinderer, came out to our car and asked me to come back into his office and he would have the loan office finish the loan with the agreed to terms and he would throw in "free tires for life" (BIG MISTATE - I SHOULD HAVE DROVE OFF AS FAST AS I COULD). Since then, I took the car in for things that should be fixed under the certified car warranty and was always told that the items were not covered. I also took the car in for service everytime it needed service. WELL TODAY when I took the car in for my "free tires for life" I was told I didn't have the tires rotate two of the times it was brought in so I am no longer in their "free tires for life" program. OH, BY THE WAY, I WAITED TWO HOURS FOR THEM TO DECIDE THEY WERE NOT GOING TO REPLACE MY TIRES AND THEN WAITED OVER 35 MINUTES FOR THEM TO COME PICK ME UP SO I COULD GET MY CAR BACK. I ALSO MAKE THE APPOINTMENT TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE - SO WHY DID THEY HAD ME DRIVE OVER 1 HOUR TO THEIR STORE TO BE TOLD THEY WERE NOT GOING TO HONOR THEIR PROMISE. I feel they should have been doing what services were required when I brought the car in or at least telling me it needed to be done. I also feel Mr. Hinderer or some one should have disclose to me that I had to have the tires rotated after every 5000 miles OR IS IT 6000 MILES - because I was given a different amount today - ONE BY THE OWNER AND THE OTHER AMOUNT BY THE SERVICE MANAGER. I was also shown a form that I was attached to the "free tires for life" form that I signed. THIS FORM WAS NEVER GIVEN TO ME - I WAS NEVER INFORMED THAT I NEEDED TO HAVE THE TIRES ROTATES EVERY 6000 MILES. More
I have looked for car for a few weeks now. I found their selection was really good and prices were comparable. The sales staff were easy to work with and helpful. I am really enjoying my new car and would r selection was really good and prices were comparable. The sales staff were easy to work with and helpful. When purchasing a new accord I had the salesman speak with the bank in regard to the payoff amount on my trade-in. A purchase price was established, but when the paperwork was completed they had oversta with the bank in regard to the payoff amount on my trade-in. A purchase price was established, but when the paperwork was completed they had overstated the payoff on my trade by more than 1300 dollars. When I pointed this out they said I would receive a refund from the bank (this made no sense since the extra 1300 when to the dealer). Repeated calls and stops at the dealership did not resolve the problem. I finally called the bank and had the manager speak directly with someone in management at the dealership. The problem was then resolved. I do recommend the service department--they seem to know what they are doing, but like all dealerships are too expensive after the car is out of warranty. Since purchasing the accord from Hinderer I have also purchased a new Honda Fit--at another dealership. I would never consider a purchase from Hinderer again. I am convinced that I would never have seen my 1300 dollars if I had not pursued it relentlessly (by the way, the 1300 that I received as a refund is of course included in my loan and is reflected in my monthly payments). My girlfriend and I went to buy new cars. The salesman (Brent) was pushy but quick to agree to prices. During the test drive, he provided us with incorrect details about the car (horse power is the one I (Brent) was pushy but quick to agree to prices. During the test drive, he provided us with incorrect details about the car (horse power is the one I can remember). When we got to the paperwork, he was asking us to sign documents without seeing final prices. When I did get to see the price, it was no where near the agreed price. After about 3 hours, we left and told them to get back to us when the prices were nearer to what had been discussed. The next day Brent calls my girlfriend's cell phone 4 times and even calls her general office line to get a hold of her. He calls me to tell me that my girlfriend is ignoring his calls. I then explain to him that she does have a job. The salesman was argumentative when I asked him not to call us anymore. At the end of the day, a good offer was made on a car that had sat on the lot for 5 months and we got jerked around for about a week. I had read the reviews on the dealership but had decided to give them a chance because it was local. I would recommend avoiding this dealership. More
Ronald Ferguson (aka Rock) promised to pay off $1,000 of my soon to be due lease in order to buy a new vehicle. Since the new vehicle was not in stock I pay the refundable deposit of $500.00 to have it in my soon to be due lease in order to buy a new vehicle. Since the new vehicle was not in stock I pay the refundable deposit of $500.00 to have it in two weeks. When the new vehicle arrived, they refunded the deposit and asked me if I wanted a check of $1,000 or should they send the payment directly to the lease company. Since I was leaving the trade in at the dealer I asked the payment to be made directly. Two months later my credit was damaged because they never made the payment, and when I requested answer Joe, Pete and Doug from finance where non cooperative and stated had no idea what was I talking about it. After my third angry call they agree to pay only $500. I was robbed by this unethical sales persons. If you want to buy a car at John Hinderer, you better have your attorney by your side. Do not trust Ronald Ferguson and by no means make any business with finance people there if their names are Joe, Peter and Doug. Actually in my third call, Joe addressed me as "dude, I can't help you". Unprofessional!!! More
We purchased a 2004 Honda in May. This has been the worst car bying experience we have ever experienced. Repeated misrepresentations negotiating price, have not received title or payment book after 45 days. car bying experience we have ever experienced. Repeated misrepresentations negotiating price, have not received title or payment book after 45 days. Finance Mgr. will not call me back. BMV has sent file to investigation unit. 30 day tag expired. Well here we go, Bought a truck from them, few issues Well here we go, Bought a truck from them, few issues with it they wouldnt bring the price down. I wanted the truck so I said ok. They offered a Well here we go, Bought a truck from them, few issues with it they wouldnt bring the price down. I wanted the truck so I said ok. They offered an auto butler service free of charge where they wash, buff, polish and clean the vehicle. Evidence of cleaning but nothing else.... Poorly managed, poorly run, paperwork poorly handled, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. When you pay a large amount for a vehicle and GIVE the salesperson the commission, you expect to be treated as if you were a friend to them in return for HELPING them out in a struggling economny. This dealership needs to clean house and look for experienced and skilled salespeople. Still waiting on a phone call from them, been waiting 2 days. Have called them twice, everytime, they're BUSY? Hope you don't make the same mistake I did. More
I purchased a new Hona Element a few years ago and I recently purchased a used Civic here also, I got a better deal on both of them up front than I got at two other dealers after hagling for an hour. I recently purchased a used Civic here also, I got a better deal on both of them up front than I got at two other dealers after hagling for an hour. I have had all my service work done here and they have always been up front and honest about what I needed on my cars and even took me back in the shop and showed me what they were talking about. The owner even came out and talked to me in the waiting area! I would and have recomended them to family and friends. More
I just picked up my new accord. What a fantastic experience. Dave showed real character in helping me. He listened and went out of his way to get me a great deal. I expect greed in this business but these people will lie to your face. These characters would be almost comical stereotypes if they didn't hurt people. If you have to deal with Hinderer: First make s to your face. These characters would be almost comical stereotypes if they didn't hurt people. If you have to deal with Hinderer: First make sure you know the "Blue Book" value of the car you are interested in. Make sure every promise they make is detailed in the contract exactly. Also, I would refuse to sign any contact that contains unexplained charges. They will try to charge you a service fee, which is limited by Ohio law to $250.00. This is a bogus charge that does not reflect their costs. If you pay it, negotiate it off the price of the car. Also check out their rating with the BBB (F). I'm surpised a company like Honda, which has an awesome product, would have anything to do with these guys. Really its best to just avoid this den of thieves. More
