Although car buying is a lengthy process they do seem to be organized. We chose to visit Koons Honda because they had what we were looking for on the lot and there was no waiting, we drove it home! He pointed out carefully and patiently the various features of the car. We proceeded to make the purchase and it was fast, efficient and smooth conducted in a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere. There was no unnecessary hagling which was a very important factor for me. There was a distinct teamwork in the workplace that made the transaction easy and pleasurable. More
Brought my Honda in for routine maintenance and tire rotation. Work was done quickly and cleanly. Price was cheaper than the two local "oil change" businesses in my area. rotation. Work was done quickly and cleanly. Price was cheaper than the two local "oil change" businesses in my area. More
I purchased my 1st Honda from Koons-Honda of Manassas in 1991. I had absolutely no intention of purchasing a vehicle. I planned to shop the price I received and purchase from another dealer. After Eric a 1991. I had absolutely no intention of purchasing a vehicle. I planned to shop the price I received and purchase from another dealer. After Eric and Eddy discussed my interests - Eddy became actively involved and we came to a final agreement. My interaction w/Jason and Justin was very helpful after running several scenarios. I will also have all my Honda's serviced @ Koonms because fo this experience. A true pleasure and thank you! More
I have no issue with the salesperson, the finance manager, or the maintenance coordinator that I dealt with during the sale. All of them did a great job. They were all friendly and professional. I manager, or the maintenance coordinator that I dealt with during the sale. All of them did a great job. They were all friendly and professional. I would give them all 5s. My issue is with the dealership and the sales process. I am coming up on having purchased twenty new cars and I know there is process. Some dealers follow it more than others. Koons followed the sales process to the letter. This resulted in the following: - First, I hate the blind negotiation. In this case Koons started $5000 too high and was extremely slow to move to acceptable numbers based on fair market values that I had researched. I don’t believe we ever got there and I accepted an OK deal vice getting a good deal. I am a return customer and expected better. - In my past experiences, the sales manager always came out at some point. If not to perform part of the negotiation, then at least to shake hands at the end and thank me for buying the car. In my prior purchase at Koons, after a couple quick back and forths, the sales manager came out, talked to me face to face, we quickly closed the gap, and we were done. We shook hands and I knew that it was a good deal. During this purchase the entire deal was controlled from the "glass room" with the salesperson as the go between. I felt this was very impersonal and it took considerable time. - Since the process was followed, the purchase took well over 5 hours. Then I had to go get my wife and bring her back to sign her part of the paper work. I know part of the process is to keep the customer there until the deal is compete. It would have saved considerable time, as I suggested several times, for me to leave and pick her up vice waiting in the showroom. - As a result of all these items, my total time (precious weekend time) invested to make the purchase was 7 hours and this did not include financing since I was preapproved. Two months ago, I purchased a $100,000+ motorhome in about 5 hours of total time at the dealer. This included selection, trade-in, negotiation, financing, a 1.5 hour walk through, and closing. It should not take 7 hours to buy a car. This purchase is the longest that I have ever experienced. More

I purchased a new 2012 Ridgeline last May (my second Ridgeline from here) but had on going problem with the radio and stactic on certain stations. The dealer has tried to address this problem 3 differe Ridgeline from here) but had on going problem with the radio and stactic on certain stations. The dealer has tried to address this problem 3 different visits here but nothing has helped and now I am told is because this truck has an internal antenna and is just not as powerful as an external antenna, even with an antenna booster. So basically I can not listen to my favorite radio station because of this problem. I just find that is totally unacceptable when you spend over $40000 for a new truck and the radio isn't up to par! I spent considerable amount of time on the internet researching prices to include four other dealers, UBS, credit union buying, etc. I knew my numbers when I went in. The dealer said that they would ma researching prices to include four other dealers, UBS, credit union buying, etc. I knew my numbers when I went in. The dealer said that they would match the numbers except it would cost $200 additional but included a lot of accessories. During negoiations they changed repeatly what they would provide and manipulated the MNRSP. I ended up buying the car but they are not truthfull in negoiations. Two days later I took my 2005 honda accord in for service to replace timing belt and replace plugs. They told me that the price included timing belt, all belts, water pump, and tensioner. They also said that the plug replacement is normally $245 but because I had all the other work it would probably be less. I asked for the used parts so I could insure work was done. Later in the day they called and said the car is ready and that they were able to keep the tensioner down to $140 and the plugs down to $270. WAIT a minutes. THIS ISN'T what I agreed to on the phone. The tensioner was included it the first price and the plugs were going to be LESS than $245. I wasn't happy when I showed up to get the car and what is even worse, they threw my old parts AWAY. How do I know what they did? I asked to speak to the service manager Pete and he promised to call me the first thing the next morning with an answer after he talked to ever one. It has been four days now an no phone call. I even called again and no return call. What terrible customer service. Im going to write Honda More
