We walked into the dealership at 7:00 and left at 9:30 with a new vehicle. We have purchased several new cars and this was by far, the fastest, friendliest service we have ever received. Everyone at the dealership bent over backwards to make their service fast and friendly. There was no back and forth between the salesman and the sales manager. We got a good price and an excellent offer on our trade in. Salah Elouafi was extremely friendly. Time Rowan was very friendly, upfront and honest. He treated my kids with kindness and made them feel part of the transaction. We would recommend Koons to anyone wishing to purchase a Honda. Top notch service! More

I was told by the service consultant that the front heat shield on the catalytic converter was bad. When I asked if replacing it was required (as the car is a 2003 Accord with over 160,000 miles on it) he shield on the catalytic converter was bad. I again asked if the service was necessary based on the age of the car, the mileage, and the problem, he said he would consult with the service technician. After consulting with the service technician he stated it was not necessary to replace the heat shield. It bothers me that the service consultant would tell me that replacing the heat shield is required ($425 to do so), and later finding out after asking why, it is explained it isn't. More

I purchased my 2010 Odyssey from a neighboring dealership back in October of 2010. I brought it back in for a few issues, but didn't have my questions answered to my satisfaction. A couple of months later, back in October of 2010. I brought it back in for a few issues, but didn't have my questions answered to my satisfaction. A couple of months later, I called Mr. Swarthout, explained my dilemma, and faxed him a letter stating the issues. He promised to research it and get back to me. Mr. Joe Carroll called me two days later. I brought the vehicle in, he gave it a once-over, explained everything to my satisfaction, and had me back on the road in less than a day. I will definitely be returning to Koons for all of my service needs. More

We visited 2 dealerships in the NoVA area and communicated with another 6 or more on line and via phone for this purchase. When we met Theo at Koons Honda in Manassas we only had 45 minutes (8 w communicated with another 6 or more on line and via phone for this purchase. When we met Theo at Koons Honda in Manassas we only had 45 minutes (8 week old at the in-laws would get hungry) and told Theo he had 40 minutes to convince us the Odyssey was the best possible choice for us. Theo was awesome. He walked quickly, he took decisions that other sales people had to "talk to [their] manager" about. (I hate that crap where salesmen always have to talk to their manager. Take a freaking decision and own the responsibility, dang it! Don't waste my time.) To make a long story longer, Theo didn't try to keep us longer than we had time for, didn't take phone calls, got us a quote on our trade in (though we opted to sell privately), brought out an Odyssey of the same model we were interested in (not the maxed out Touring version), answered every question...and did it all in 30 minutes! After the other dealers in town and on line, we decided to buy from Theo though the Koons Honda price was $600 more than we could have gotten elsewhere. We appreciated Theo's honesty, diligence and attention to detail. To address the ratings above: I gave 4's for Friendliness and Overall experience not because of anything Theo did/didn't do. Theo was friendly enough, but he recognized we weren't there to make a life-long buddy; we were their to buy a car. Other's we dealt with had a bit more of the fake shmooze feel that I don't look forward to. Also, the paperwork process could have been quicker. It still took me almost two hours to get out of the dealership even though I called ahead to inform the dealer I was coming to buy the car. I spent much of those two hours waiting for this person or that to come talk to me about different things. Come on, folks. Let's be more efficient. More
