UNHAPPY After a great experience last year when my husband bought a truck from Kearns, we both decided to continue giving them our business. I have been looki After a great experience last year when my husband bought a truck from Kearns, we both decided to continue giving them our business. I have been looking for a certain vehicle since Jan 2018 and my husband found it at kearns last weekend so on Sunday March 10, 2019 we made the trip from Baraboo to look at the vehicle. I liked it so much that I took a vacation day at work to come look at it again on Wed March 13,2019 I went to the same salesperson we used before Jeff Griffin. I really wanted this truck ( 2018 Nissan Frontier Pro with 11,000 miles) I test drove it and then we went to do the paperwork. Now I had told him in advance that I currently had a car loan with GM financial for my current car and wanted to remain with them for this loan as I had been a exceptional customer with them for 3 years and already talked to them about a different loan and they told me to tell the dealership to call and they would handle everything. I also told Jeff that I was aware that they dealt with GM financial because that is where My husband got his loan from when he bought his Truck from Kearns last march. I did all the research for them. I gave them my current payoff amount and kelly blue book price that I looked up. I gave them no other information like my social for a background / credit check or my employment or income information all they had was the pay off amount and kelly blue book price for trade in. He said he would have the guys look at my car to see what the trade in value would be there. He came back with a trade in of 6100.00, gave me a sheet of paper with information on it and said that "The bank would not even look at a loan without a 7,000.00 deposit" For a truck listed @ 27,000.00, REALLY? I asked him if they called GM financial and he said the loan would be through a company called ally and they were affiliated with GM financial. I asked if they could get my information and credit history with GM financial from them and he said yes. I thought 7000.00 down payment was high so I told him I would have to talk to my husband and call him back. After I left I called GM financial to check on things. and I was right in doing this. Ally is not associated with GM financial and the rep I talked to had never heard of them I also asked if anyone had called today about a loan for me from Kearns and they said nope, no one has called to inquire about a loan for me. I Hate being Lied to. I feel like I had a target on my head that said I am a woman who knows nothing about cars and loans come screw with me. . I am a woman but I'm not dumb. I know stink when I smell it. I did not even get an apology when I told him that I checked on this with GM financial and what they told me. all i got in response was Huh. (Like Really, sounding confused) At least he could have apologized, tried to make the situation right or something, But I got nothing like I didn't even matter. Well I do matter. I will never go back to kearns and I will never give anyone a recommendation for them. I will encourage anyone to go anywhere else but to Kearns and I have the printout that Jeff Griffin gave me with all the numbers on it to prove my story. Customer service there sucks and they don't respect you enough to tell you the truth or do what you ask them to do . they are just out to make a fast buck when they can no matter what they have to do to make it. since I posted this on another site I have gotten responses from other people that have had bad experiences and have gotten no call to try to make things right, apology, response or anything else from this company or its owner(s). What a way to run a business and treat your customers. Totally disappointed, hurt and disgusted with the whole experience. More
