Avoid these guys. I used Truecar.com to research pricing on a new 2020 F-150 and was given several offers from different dealerships, one being Kieth Hawthorne. I requested info on the truck offered on True on a new 2020 F-150 and was given several offers from different dealerships, one being Kieth Hawthorne. I requested info on the truck offered on Truecar as well as on the same vehicle on their website. This was Friday night at 8:32 pm. I hear back on Saturday morning and am told that the truck is there and we agree on a price. I go to the dealership, which is an hour away, to find that they "sold that truck 2 days ago" and their system said I was interested in a different truck. Scott Harkins was extremely rude and said, "Well our system said you wanted this truck. That truck sold 2 days ago and you wouldn't get it for that price." He said they could build the truck i wanted for an additional $11,000! I had the quote with the pricing shown and Scott said, "Well I don't know what to tell you. It wasn't my fault, the system said you wanted this truck." I left and called the sales manager, Ben, who was really nice and said, "we've had this problem before...give me until Monday to make it right." That was the last I heard of them until Tuesday when Scott sends me an email saying that they know it sometimes takes time to decide, but they are there to help...no mention of "making it right." I purchased the truck I want from Fairway Ford in Greenville, SC and the experience was great. I recommend checking them out instead. More
Van was there 2.5 weeks and still the engine light is on,(no Power to pull), front end not fixed making a clunking noise then turning, Van was there for 6 days before they called with a quote, spend over on,(no Power to pull), front end not fixed making a clunking noise then turning, Van was there for 6 days before they called with a quote, spend over $4000 and lost 2.5 weeks of revenue and now it will need to go Back to be repaired again. Tried to talk to GM but he was never in the Office and never seen a Service Manager. Ford should be ashamed of this dealership and its service. I have spent $100,000s of dollars and should not receive this type of service period. I will be Calling Fords District Manager about the issues I have had More
Simple service on my F-250 truck I have been bringing my vehicles to this dealership for years and also have bought several vehicles from there. This is the third time I have had prob I have been bringing my vehicles to this dealership for years and also have bought several vehicles from there. This is the third time I have had problems with simple service items being done on the truck. I stopped taking my wife’s explorer that bought from dealership cause no one would help us with rust problem under the paint on the hood. I called and ask for the general manager today when I found out that whole underside of my truck is covered in oil that appears to be from where I had to oil changed done last Wednesday. Now I have oil spots all over my driveway. The general manager was too busy to take my call today and never returned my call. Very disappointed that Keith Hawthorne doesn’t know how his dealerships to treat long term customers. My truck needs to be fixed. More
I have purchased 4 vehicles from this dealership since 2003. I have spent almost $5000 on my Ford Expedition in the past two years. On my last visit I was charged $144 for a test that found a loose wire. 2003. I have spent almost $5000 on my Ford Expedition in the past two years. On my last visit I was charged $144 for a test that found a loose wire. If a wire was bad and had to be replaced I would have fine with the charge. However to just turn a screw🤬! I have been a loyal customer letting them do all my repair work. That has changed. I will never go back to this dealership for any reason and will buy my cars elsewhere. More
This trip was just L.O.F., but as always, Rick Farmer was it I have used Keith Hawthorne Ford for most service needs - even if I could do it myself. Rick Farmer has taken care of my service needs for years, now, From Quicklane to appointments to a couple of longer-term issues, he has been a large part of keeping my personal vehicle rolling. This does not say no one else shares; everyone I've met at the dealership from the sales staff to service people, to parts, have always treated me well. Rick, however has been my primary point person when I need to get things done. More
