I sent my son there for his oil change. His first experience. Service advisor comes out with a piece of paper hand written with services he needs to get done , including front brakes. My son texted me and I told him when he checked out they would print out what he needs with the cost of everything and we would figure it out. Well he comes home and they only gave him print out of the invoice and what they did, oil change, filter etc. I call dealer and I'm told the advisor doesn't really remember (the system was down , that's why no print out), Then they say bring car in again to be looked at and we'll give you a print out?! what?! **edit I was contacted by the service advisor later in the day. He apologized and gave me a break down as to what is needed. I really appreciated him reaching out. More
We were excited to purchase our new Sante Fe. You heard the ads 0% finance and deferred payments for 3 months. Well at Key they didn't follow through on the ad. That was bad enough but the lack of response from Key was terrible. After calling the sales manager and assistant sales manager said they couldn't do anything but would call me back I called the General manager Armando Rodriguez who wouldn't do anything either. His response that while they sent the finance package in without the promised 3 month deferred payments it was our fault for missing it on the forms. We never even got an apology or we'll try to fix it. Not a good start. Don't try to call Hyundai the consumer number doesn't work and email took 5 days to get the we got your complaint but are too busy to respond. I guess the lack of customer service is typical for Hyundai and their dealerships. More
I will not be returning to the service department at Salem Key Hyundai ever again. My car was in for service and it was not serviced correctly. I was back with a dead car 2 days later. Let me start by saying I owned a 2016 Hyundai Veloster and it ran for 267K miles with just normal oil changes and tires and a few minor repairs. This April the transmission went. Based on my experience and it ran for 267K miles with just normal oil changes and tires and a few minor repairs. This April the transmission went. Based on my experience I felt I had no choice but to purchase another Hyundai. On April 30th I went Key because the were no pressure, hassle free. I found a Santa Cruz that was just a perfect fit because we dirt bike and could put them in the back to transport. Unfortunately, when checking out the vehicle for the test drive the Roll-Up Tonneau Cover wasn't working. Fabian said no problem, I will have service take a look. We went and signed the purchase paperwork. Fabian returned saying service dept said it needs to be replaced. They will order and it will be in next Monday May 5th and I will call you to come down and we will install. We never got a call. When we called on Monday May 12th we were told the cover was on indefinite back order. So since then we have been waiting and involved corporate and still cannot seem to get a replacement cover even though we were sold a certified preowned vehicle with 15o point quality assurance inspection yet they didn't notice the cover wouldn't roll back???? and now they cannot supply a replacement? But they didn't mind signing all the paperwork for the sale stating it met all the requirements of the Certified preowned vehicle inspection. I am now questioning my decision to buy another Hyundai. Also since driving away in our new purchase we found the blue tooth isn't working, Car play doesn't work, both screens have turned black during driving just to mention a few issues since driving away. Very Disappointed customer. And when my husband called to schedule a service appt he was told that it wasn't a absolute that the problems were covered under the full warranty that transferred with our purchase. We were told that for all the know mice could have chewed wires so until the inspect the vehicle there was no guarantee. Also got a call a day later on voicemail stating we aren't sure if you have an appt but if you do there is a diagnostic fee until it was proved to be a warranty issue. If I could return my truck for a full refund I would!!!!!!! More
