Kundert Volvo Hasbrouck Heights I recently brought my S80 in for service....oil change and another minor issue. I also asked to have the tires checked out. Chip was my service rep I recently brought my S80 in for service....oil change and another minor issue. I also asked to have the tires checked out. Chip was my service rep at this visit. I was completely satisfied with the overall experience. As soon as I pulled into the garage, Chip greeted me. I told Chip what I needed done. He suggested I have a filter changed (I had missed a scheduled maintenance) but didn't push me to do it. I knew the tires were on their way out so I asked that they be checked. He then walked through what we had discussed and said he would call back regarding the tires. Chip brought me out to a loaner car, shook my hand, and said he'd call as soon as he had info. Chip did call to tell me the planned work was done and that the tires should be replaced. Again, he didn't push me to agree to do the work. He told me the depth of the treads and that one in particular was worse than the others. I went ahead with the work and picked up the car at the end of the day. Bottom line is Chip is a gentleman, friendly, courteous and I felt like I got an honest assessment from him. Did I love handing over my credit card? No, but it's a lot easier to do when you're getting excellent service in return. More

Low Pressure, Professional Dealership We recently bought my second XC90, this time from Gary at Kundert Vokvo in Hasbrouk Heights, NJ, trading in our Toyota Prius Hybrid. We weren't su We recently bought my second XC90, this time from Gary at Kundert Vokvo in Hasbrouk Heights, NJ, trading in our Toyota Prius Hybrid. We weren't sure which model Volvo we wanted this time (tempted by that new v60!) and Gary was incredibly patient and encouraged us to try all of the one's we were considering. It happened to be two days before the end of the sales quarter. The reps at some of the other dealerships we visited were "strongly encouraging" us to close the sale that day and they would throw in all sorts of incentives. Gary on the other hand said: "don't worry about it, take your time, first find the vehicle that's right for your family and then we'll work out the best deal for you". In the end, not only did he wind up bringing in exactly the car we wanted from another dealership, but he did it at a better price, matching any of the programs being offered elsewhere in the market. I would definitely recommend: Gary, Kundert & Volvo. More

Service Team is great I brought my car in for repair of a defective sun roof drainage channel causing the interior of the car to flood. With no recall from Volvo and my car I brought my car in for repair of a defective sun roof drainage channel causing the interior of the car to flood. With no recall from Volvo and my car no longer under warranty, the $900+ bill became mine to cover. Ed and the rest of the service team made a bad situation tolerable. I still think Volvo (parent company) should issue the recall as this is a common issue and a class action suit is currently in place. This is poor business practice that puts the dealerships and their staff in an unnecessarily difficult situation. The service recovery needed on the part of the dealership and their staff for customer retention over a clear defect in the manufacturing is unfair - to the dealership and the customer. Sadly, as much as I like working with Kundert Volvo, I will never purchase another vehicle from them unless they stop carrying Volvo products. More
