Lake County Toyota is a very reliable dealership for the Brainerd lakes area. A few items related to my experience: 1. Generally though, the staff are friendly, approachable, and likeable. In comparison to the many dealerships I have been to, I would give Lake County Toyota a 8/10 on approach-ability. 3. They will be honest with trade-in value for your current vehicle. Generally though, if the option is available for you, sell your vehicle yourself on the open market before bringing yours in for trade at this particular dealership. They will be honest and tell you what they plan to do with your vehicle, which is very appreciated, but they will provide you with the absolute lowest amount they know customers will accept. For your own pocket, just sell it yourself. For vehicle trade-in, they are dead average for the industry or in metric, 5/10. 3a. Also note, due to the current state of the vehicle I was trading in, they were willing to forego background check/Carfax on the vehicle since it was in such bad service condition, they saw it unnecessary. Consider this as a potential bias while reading this review. 4. The dealers, like many dealers, will not readily accept any potentially untrustworthy forms of funds. They are most willing to accept checks (personal & cashiers), but have clearly, through interaction, have had negative experiences with wire transfers and will generally not readily accept it, and might attempt to bully/recommend in an unfriendly way (almost made me drop the sale), other methods of exchange. Generally, a very trustworthy dealership and I find that they put a serious amount of effort into their customer service. More
