167 miles put on my car mysteriously while in for service. Returned vehicle with less than half tank of gas, when dropped off with full tank. Scratch, down to primer on drivers door. Greasy handprints on interior (newly tinted) windows. Interior drivers door plastic scuffed/scraped up. Was told manager would call us to make it all right. Never got a call. We called him..and he was aloof, didn’t take any responsibility for his staff and the issues. Told me to bring in car so he could have a look…and that he’s “got a guy” that does paint. When asked what body shop…continued to say “I’ve got a guy…don’t worry about it”! Flat out refused to tell us name of body shop he intended to use. No better than a used car salesman (Giovanni) Manager doesn’t care. Shameful! 2022 GTI that has had more problems in 5 months….and has been in the shop for repairs more than an 11 year old Jetta I used to have. After they finally seemed to have fixed the technical issue of the vehicle, then someone there scratched the paint in my brand new car and took a 167 mile joy ride. Still no follow up from “Giovanni”. It’s absolutely unacceptable and unfathomable. We paid cash for this vehicle. This car was a mile marker anniversary gift from my husband. Thanks to this last experience, this vehicle has become a thorn in my side….and it’s sickening. **The service dept staff (Jeff and Matt) have been nothing but kind, professional and empathetic to all the issues of this vehicle. Let me start by saying the sales process was nice. I have no complaints, negotiations were good, felt like I got a good price, etc... However, the issues I have are post sales. No more than 12 hours later, the check engine light, TPMS light, Stability control light, etc... came on in the car. I sent a text simply stating, "I think we have a problem here." The response was why I am writing this review. They responded with "You bought a warranty.". So in short, they do not stand behind anything they sell. These are the items I had to address after I took delivery. 1. Fill all the tires to the correct pressure. They were at 28 and should be at 33. 2. Change the oil. It was about 2 quarts low and hadn't been changed. 3. Balance the tires, new tires were installed but they were not balanced which caused vibrations at high speed. If they can't do these simple things then beware of anything you buy. They had a customer for life on Sunday and lost that customer on Monday. More
