Terrible Bought a used truck a few months ago from Landers. Awesome salesman, great service, and very professional. The day after my purchase I noticed I had Bought a used truck a few months ago from Landers. Awesome salesman, great service, and very professional. The day after my purchase I noticed I had an oil leak and took it back to which they were more than happy to fix. Side note, I purchased extended warranty on this vehicle just for peace of mind and to help with any future issues. Fast forward 3 months and 3,700 miles....my engine blows. Mind you I haven’t even driven this vehicle long enough for an oil change. I’m thinking at this point after 6 other times being in the shop since purchase of the vehicle that I had bought a huge lemon. Anyways I’m confident that an extended warranty will cover this issue. I was terribly wrong. I bought said truck with after market tires and rims. Nothing crazy or over the top just a minor upgrade. The warranty company I purchased from Landers was guaranteed to me by the finance office at Landers to cover the truck as is. Long story short I have a truck that is not covered under the extended warranty I purchased because of after market tires that I bought as is from Landers. Why would a so called reputable dealership offer a warranty company that is sub par? I am a repeat customer 4 times over to Landers and when I asked to speak with a GM they basically told me sorry about your luck. I know the risks of buying a used vehicle, I understand that things happen. However, the fact that this dealership is unwilling to work with me after this issue is far more than frustrating. Let me say that the service department especially a gentleman by the name of Anthony is the only reason I believe there are good people left in this world. If I were Mr. Landers I would promote this professional and give him control over everything. He has gone above and beyond to fight my battle for me. I’m a middle class man with a child due in 5 weeks, and a deployment at the end of the year. All I’m asking for is for Landers “leadership” to actually follow through and help out. This is completely asinine to even be in this position. I’m not one to play the veteran card or make idle threats......but if this issue doesn’t get resolved I will be hiring a lawyer and making this case visible for everyone to see. More
