Usually a good experience but not this time. My appointment was at 1:30 they didn’t take my car into the bay until 3:00. Then waited another hour and 15 min. For them to do the work. And the price was ridiculous! More
The folks at Lee Nissan stepped up when we needed them. Hunter was outstanding to work with and once I knew what the process was things went smoothly. Hunter was outstanding to work with and once I knew what the process was things went smoothly. More
I took my car in for a routine oil change + added an alignment & I was in/out in less than two hours. This has been the case every time I have visited Lee Nissan--they are fast, efficient & pleasant to alignment & I was in/out in less than two hours. I absolutely LOVE the car and the two sales reps I dealt with (Damien and Marty) were fine. But I was very disappointed in the process. I had purchased two vehicles from Lee Nissan before and both times with (Damien and Marty) were fine. But I was very disappointed in the process. I had purchased two vehicles from Lee Nissan before and both times paid way below the sticker price, felt my trade-ins were valued fairly, and drove away feeling I got a good deal. But this time there was no flexibility in pricing, which was surprising considering the two vehicles I looked at had both been on the lot for at least a month. After I test-drove the first car, things started going sideways when we started talking about the trade-in value for my old car. Their own platform, which runs off Cars.com rather than Kelly Blue Book, indicated my trade would be worth $18,450 to $21,000 based on mileage and condition. The mileage may have been slightly more than average, but I brought the car to them in excellent condition, so I was expecting $20,000. The first trade offer I got was for $17,500. When I mentioned to the sales manager the discrepancy, he said that link was not an accurate source of information on trade value. If that was the case, why do they have the link to it on the website? He then said he could increase my trade to $19,000. Then I noticed I was still paying full price for the car with no flexibility. That was way out of my price range so I found another car that was much less. I think they took a few hundred dollars off the sticker price but then lowered my trade to $17,295. So my trade lost $1,700 in value in the 15 minutes it took to test-drive the second car? Another issue was that for every car listed as "certified," the website promised free maintenance for a year, which basically would have been two oil changes. When I asked about that, I was told the offer applied only to cars purchased through Nissan Financing (I couldn't find any reference to that on the website). I think the real problem was being a cash buyer. I know that dealers make almost as much money on financing as they do on retail sales, so I guess that explains the lack of flexibility because I told them under no circumstances would I be financing. Based on this experience, I would not buy from this dealer again and would not recommend it to anyone. More
