To Whom It May Concern, Honda dealership, capital hills drive Raleigh, NC I am writing to formally address a serious concern regarding the service performed on my vehicle during my recent 90,000/1 hills drive Raleigh, NC I am writing to formally address a serious concern regarding the service performed on my vehicle during my recent 90,000/100,000-mile maintenance visit at your dealership. The situation has caused significant financial hardship, inconvenience, and a complete loss of trust in the integrity of your service department. During my visit, I was informed that my water pump, timing belt, and several other components required immediate replacement. I was presented with a repair bill totaling over $3,500—an amount I struggled to gather but ultimately paid, trusting that your technicians were accurately diagnosing my vehicle and performing the necessary work. Prior to this service, my vehicle had no mechanical issues, no warning codes, and was brought in solely for an oil change. However, within days of picking up my vehicle, two new problems emerged that had never occurred before: The air conditioning stopped working, and The vehicle began stalling upon start-up. When I contacted your service department, I was instructed to bring the vehicle back and told it would be inspected at no cost if the issue was found to be caused by your repairs. Upon arrival, I was unexpectedly told I would be charged a $200 diagnostic fee. After disputing this—given that these issues began only after your service—the fee was eventually waived. Following your inspection, I was informed that my “air radiator” had a crack and that repairs would cost more than $2,000. I requested photos or videos to verify this diagnosis, but your staff refused to provide any documentation, which I found extremely concerning. Due to these red flags, I declined the repair. I subsequently took my vehicle to a trusted independent shop. Together with their master technicians, I inspected the vehicle firsthand. Their findings were deeply disturbing: There is no crack or leak in the radiator, nor any evidence of damage. The A/C system was completely empty of refrigerant, despite being full and working properly before your service. The water pump is clearly not new, despite being billed as replaced. The spark plugs are also not new, although I was charged for new parts and labor. General inspection revealed minimal signs that the extensive work I paid for was ever completed. These findings suggest that I was charged for parts and services that were either not performed or were performed negligently. This is unacceptable from any business—especially a large, reputable dealership expected to act with integrity and professionalism. I am requesting the following: A full written explanation of the work that was billed versus what was actually performed. A complete refund for any parts and labor not legitimately completed. An internal review of the technicians involved and the service process for my vehicle. A written response within 10 business days outlining how your dealership intends to resolve this matter. I trusted your dealership with my vehicle and my safety. Instead, I left with additional mechanical issues, unnecessary expenses, and evidence that the services I paid for were not completed as represented. As a consumer, I will not overlook this, and I am prepared to escalate my complaint to American Honda Corporate, the Better Business Bureau, and the North Carolina Attorney General’s Office if necessary. I look forward to your prompt resolution of this matter. More
