Took my car in for a recall and at the same time asked for a diagnosis on some vibrations occurring when braking. I advised them at the start that the brakes and rotors were all pretty new, installed 9K m for a diagnosis on some vibrations occurring when braking. I advised them at the start that the brakes and rotors were all pretty new, installed 9K miles ago on all 4 wheels (with all OEM parts to boot). At the conclusion of the diagnosis, I was simply told that the recommendation was to replace the back brakes (a 1300 dollar cost) with no other details other than that that was the recommendation by the technician. I find it hard to believe that a thorough enough diagnosis was made only to end up suggesting to replace OEM brakes with only 9K miles of use. I declined service and will get another opinion elsewhere. Oh and I still got charged $220 for the “diagnosis”. More
