One of the worst experience I’ve ever had. It took FIVE DAYS for me to get my car back just to have the car services and a tire replaces. FIVE DAYS! I came to buy a used car and was upsold to a new car for a slightly higher cost which truly fine. Kazi was nice to work with. He was very knowledgeable and quickly understood my needs. He gets credit for getting me a new car with everything I wanted, at a very good price, with minimal haggling. Unfortunately, the car that was delivered to me was not the car I had test driven and thought I had purchased. The car I got, while new, had major defects including a horrible alignment and terrible tire noise. I figured that out in about fifteen minutes and took it back the next day. Then the fairy tales started, at first Kazi wouldn't even acknowledge that I had received a different car until I pointed out obvious differences. He wanted to fix the car until I made it clear that I was never driving that car again, and I'd happily take back my old car. I then requested, by stock number, the car I thought I had purchased. It wasn't available - big surprise, they had sold it to someone else and given me a dog. But their website showed three other cars just like it, I'l take another one instead. Kazi said no those are not available, hmm, why are they on the website? More waiting - oh good news - the car I originally drove now IS available! It didn't have a headrest, so they couldn't sell it, but they found one. Really, that's why you wouldn't sell a car? Because the largest Lexus dealer by sales volume doesn't have any other unsold cars sitting around that would provide a headrest? These guys should write fiction. Ooookay, so new paperwork all around again, but then the car was not in the computer as available for sale. More waiting and more paperwork and more stories, and I was finally out the door in the car I wanted. Hey, where's the second key and where are the floor mats? They were in the car when I drove it yesterday - probably in the trunk because of the cleaning - nope not there, and no trunk mat either anymore. Where did all the accessories go? Hmmm. I'm talking to my insurance company when I notice that my temporary registration has the wrong color black instead of white - something else to fix. Then I call Sirius - and learn that the radio was already registered under another name. That's when I figured out the real story. I'm guessing, Lexus had sold this car to someone else yesterday - and they brought it back today - just in time for them to sell it to me AS NEW. But by then the car had over 30 miles, which it technically not new in Florida, but since I didn't receive a copy of the title form, I get to wait and see how it was actually registered. I emailed Kazi, but he was off, so no answer. After two more visits, and more tall tales, I finally have almost everything that was missing from the car - unsurprising the second key turned up - I guess the first owners finally brought it back, and I finally got floor mats. They tried to have me choose between the carpet and all weather mats, but the sticker showed both, and I wanted both. Why is everything a fight? The mats I finally got had the wrong logo, but after spending 6 out of the last 8 days at the dealership, I was done. Over 20 years ago, I tried to buy a Lexus at one dealer, and after a bait and switch experience, I went to another Lexus dealer. I got talked into a car color that I didn't want, and before I took delivery, I told them I changed my mind. They didn't even try to figure out a different car for me, they too were nasty and horrible. I have always said I would never own a Lexus. Then my mechanic gave last rites to my 2012 Acura TL and warned me off the current Acuras and Infinitis due to mechanical issues. I keep my cars a long time and drive lots of miles, so reliability is paramount - it was time to try Lexus again. I never dreamed that the sales experience would be the same nightmare. My ES 350 F Sport is a very nice car with every safety feature possible, and I'm enjoying all the toys that have been invented in the last eight years. I'm truly hoping the car is as reliable as advertised because even though there is free maintenance included, I would rather pay my honest mechanic than visit Lexus of Pembroke Pines again. More
