Service station's negligence put our family's life in danger I'm appalled at the sheer NEGLIGENCE of Lexus of Queens, whose mistakes put my family's LIFE AT RISK! We had our car serviced on 8/17/17 for a NY I'm appalled at the sheer NEGLIGENCE of Lexus of Queens, whose mistakes put my family's LIFE AT RISK! We had our car serviced on 8/17/17 for a NY State Inspection as well as the replacement of 3 tires and standard alignment. The following day (8/18/17) we left for a 3 1/2 hour road trip with our 5 yr old daughter and 4 yr old son in the back seat. After the first hour, we started to notice a loud, frequent, thumping sound coming from the left front side of the car. This sound and the vibration associated with it, progressively got louder and louder to a point of concern. Due to our hyper-vigilance, we drove 15 miles off route to the nearest Lexus Dealership. Upon inspection, they informed us that the LUG NUTS were NEVER TIGHTENED to Lexus spec (see invoice from Lexus of Chester Springs). Due to the negligence of Lexus of Queens, we were told that our wheel had progressively been coming off the car and could eventually have completely fallen off while we were driving on the highway between 60-70 miles per hour. After spending hours on the phone with multiple employees at Lexus of Queens, including Brittany, Anna, Tricia, Andrew the Manager and Tim the General Manager, we were never given a formal apology of their CLEAR MISTAKE that could have left our family in a tragic situation. Both the Manager and General Manager started off their conversations with me saying "if your lug nuts were actually loose, you wouldn't have been able to drive more than 3 blocks without your wheel falling off". This comment made the whole situation seem like a coincidence. Only after outright requesting an apology, did Tim the General Manager simply repeat the apology we asked for and say that the lug nuts being loose was "highly likely" due to their error but "anything is possible". And in compensation for the sheer disrespect, rude, unapologetic, unprofessional and blame dodging behavior, this GM insulted us with offering a 4th free tire (which he admittedly stated we did NOT need to replace). So according to Lexus of Queens, the value of my family's life is worth 1 tire that retails for $275???? We did not buy a Lexus to deal with this NEGLIGENCE and UNPROFESSIONAL behavior. This is UNACCEPTABLE and ACTION needs to be taken. My friends, how would you feel to have this happen to your family? What form of compensation is even imaginable for having your family at risk? More

Alex has been the best Alex Quinteros has been so patient, helpful and genuine. He is definitely different from the other sales reps. He genuinely cares about what we need. Alex Quinteros has been so patient, helpful and genuine. He is definitely different from the other sales reps. He genuinely cares about what we need. I think he is a huge asset to the Lexus of Queens because of his positive and great character. We had a couple of problems at the Lexus of Queens but we decided to stay because of Alex, Kunal, and Hector. They all were very warm and got our problems fixed asap. Alex also tried to help us the most with the best deals and is very knowledgeable in his field. He is the man to go to if you are going to the Lexus of Queens. I am confident in his skills and am happy to go to Lexus of Queens when Alex is there. Kunal is also knowledgeable in their field and have helped us too! More
Thank you! Quite honestly I was apprehensive stepping into another dealership after I had unpleasant experience at Massapequa Nissan several years ago. However, Quite honestly I was apprehensive stepping into another dealership after I had unpleasant experience at Massapequa Nissan several years ago. However, it was time for a new car and I decided to try Lexus this time. The aim was set on2017 RX350. From the moment we (me, my best half and child) entered the dealership on May 30, we were very impressed by its interior and level of attention to the clients. Our salesman was Sani. Within 10 minutes we were driving off the dealership lot to try the new RX350. Sani provided a complete walk around the vehicle and explained all new bells and whistles (believe me, you do need a little crash course prior to getting behind the wheel of this computer on wheels). Then followed the longest test drive in my life. I kept asking Sani after two blocks when should I make a U-turn to return to the dealership and he chuckled and said that we were going to take the car in the BQE and let it rip. Compared to measly 5 blocks "test drives" around Jamaica avenue provided by the majority of dealerships in Jamaica, Queens, this 30 minute drive on local streets followed by highway gives you an excellent idea what you can expect from a Lexus of your choice. After the test drive, we sat down to discuss the finances. I really appreciated the fact that the "negotiations" are held in private booths and not in the open (Nissan Nemet, I am looking at you!). There was absolutely no pressure from Sani. He gave a price that was reasonable and close to True Car suggested price. We ironed some minor details, discussed the price of the trade-in and that was it. Sani was accompanied by another fine gentleman, Willy, who helped to close the deal. My many thanks to him too. I read the negative reviews about Lexus of Queens and I feel that all this negativity comes from buyers who expect the dealership to give the cars for free or for the price that they (the dealership) purchase from the manufacturer. The dealership is in the business of making money so the key is to find some middle ground. We walked in into this dealership at 1pm and walked out at around 4pm with the signed deal. Again, I can't thank enough Sani and Willy for making such an enjoyable experience for us at Lexus. The next day, we came back with the certified check and Sani even picked us up from the subway station, which was highly appreciated after a long day at work. We also dealt with the financial manager, Rodney who is just a great guy all around. When I came back on June 1 to pick up the car (the dealer was installing the running boards), the car was ready as promised, washed, and with registration ready (DMV portion was a breeze, btw). Remember I mentioned that this new Lexus is a computer in wheels, well, before you drive your new car from the dealership you are provided a personal instruction with one of the techno gurus who explain and help you set up everything before your maid voayge. ABSOLUTELY No pressure (you would think that after you paid for the car they want you out asap). No. At Lexus of Queens they want your business and they do everything to make you happy. My car was "introduced" by Hector, who took his time explaining EVERY safety feature and everything in between. Once you look at the 752 page manual (btw the navigation system has its own manual which is not light either) you ll understand why Lexus provides this individual session to you (they want you to be safe) so you can enjoy your Lexus from minute one. Lexus of Queens is a finely tuned, well oiled machine and I attribute it to the upper management and the people on the ground. Thank you! More

Don't Service your car here I’ve recently retired and in the past did not have the time to really go through the service manual of the car. I just brought the car into be service I’ve recently retired and in the past did not have the time to really go through the service manual of the car. I just brought the car into be serviced every 5,000 miles. After the recent service I was struck by a few things that were recommended and done. So now that I have the time I pulled up the service record and compared what was done to what was recommended. I found it quite disturbing and distressing regarding what Lexus of Queens has been doing. Let’s put my stupidity aside for not noticing this issue sooner, but as I said I retired and while working for the past many years I have been too busy to really get into the weeds on many issues. PCV valve was replaced significantly more frequent then what I could gather from my research. The service manual doesn’t address it. Maybe Lexus doesn’t think it ever needs to be replaced. Engine air filter seems to have been replaced twice as often as necessary. No I don’t drive on dirt roads. Air intake filter was replaced after just 15K, which now seems crazy since Lexus makes no recommendation on it and from what I read, it needs to be inspected and cleaned or replaced as needed. Lexus of Queens never recommended replacing it again, and I’m not sure if they ever inspected it after that. AC cabin filter roughly replaced twice as often as recommended. Fuel injection service frequency is not specified by Lexus but seems to have been done far more frequently than one would expect. Additionally the one time I took the car to Lexus of Manhattan, they stated it needed to be done. After Manhattan performed the service the performance of the engine was noticeably improved, significantly. I had no such experience after Lexus of Queens performed the service in the past At 45K brake fluid was replaced, 15K earlier than recommended. But really am I complaining about, no. Yes, my stupidity continued. At 40k & 45k in addition to standard+ service Lexus of Queens notes that they performed a “tire inspection and measures all tread depths”. But around 46K miles I found myself hydroplaning on route 87 in the rain, all of the surrounding vehicles had no issue and I found myself driving significantly slower than surrounding traffic afterwards. After the incident I went back and asked Lexus of Queens to inspect the tires and they agreed tires needed to be replaced, but only recommended replacing 2 of 4. I had an issue only replacing 2 so I asked them to replace all 4, but what they stocked, I was not happy with those tire choices, so went elsewhere and bought 4 Michelin. I just want to mention that I called Lexus (national) told them about the experience and they offered to pay for 2 of the 4 tires; I still went elsewhere and paid for 4 Michelin tires. At 50K and 60K Lexus of Queens replaced the spark plugs, but the service manual says it should be done at 120K. At 60K flushed cooling system and replaced coolant, 60K early. Manual states inspect fluid regularly, but replace at 120k. Putting my own stupidity aside, please realize that each time I would bring the car in for the 5K service they sit you down and recommend what should be done based upon how many miles are on the car. So, I conclude “hey it’s time, do it”. Ok at the time I brought the car in for the last service I asked a NY State Inspection be performed and they charge me the $37. Let’s get this right. I just spent $1,100 during which they performed everything required for an inspection and then charged me $37 to apply the sticker to the windshield? And they couldn’t even do it right. Much of the glue from the old stickler is still there, and the new one isn’t even technically where it’s supposed to be. After the latest service, a few additional things were recommended. Well I did none of them. I’m bringing the car elsewhere for a second opinion. To me this situation seems utterly ridiculous and it appears I spent significantly more money than I should have over the past six years servicing this car. I’m curious what Lexus national, has to say about all this, and am awaiting a reply. More
