Oh I forgot to add that I ended up stranded in the middle of the country in Pennsylvania with a bad battery, yet it was supposedly being checked regularly. I don't need to review the service history again. I spent hours making a spreadsheet comparing the online Lexus service recommendations and my service manual that came with the car and what was done; and educating myself on routine servicing from a variety of sources. As I mentioned in the review I went elsewhere for a second opinion. So I had them align the car (obviously needed it) flush and change the differential fluid because the service manual recommended it. Re: the other recommendations - belt replacement, they claim it looks practically new. The radiator hoses? They say they look fine. The thermostat? They said its working fine now but that's not to say it can't fail a week from now or never. I have sometime these days and I read up on thermostats and how they work. As a scientist I found the simplicity of the device fascinating. And the throttle body service they agreed with. There was a nail in the front right tire, which I had them repair. When they went to balance the wheel and they found it was way out of balance. So we agreed to check the other 3. They stated there were issues with the others as well and some didn't have any weights on them. I'm not just out a few grand, but I found my safety placed at risk while hydroplaning down the highway and honestly if it wasn't for all the crazy driving as a youth I very well could have lost control of that car with 2 passengers to boot and a bunch of full high pressure scuba tanks which when damaged can do some serious damage. Did I say I drive nice an easy since I got rid of my sports car some years ago? I find myself in the middle of nowhere stranded for hours while I enroll in AAA and wait for their service truck. Imagine we had time to order pizza pies have them delivered (to the middle of nowhere) eat them and still had time to discuss plenty. Oh did I mention it was below freezing and no heat? And now you want me to spend more time, so you can have a shot at retaining a good customer? I think that ship has sailed.
