I get a load of BS about how its to cover the "certification " of this 15 year old car (which isnt legit-can't have older cars certified ) plus other charges. The car was advertised for a price on their own website plus other outlets for $3k and I would have paid that, plus the taxes and registration fees, but not the false additional fees. Truly mislead by the false advertising by this deslership. Wasted a day and have a bitter taste with them muchless Chevrolet dealers in general-hadn't been to one in 10 years and surely don't have a reason to visit another one anytime soon. More
Horrific experience Had the worst experience I've ever had today at your dealership. Called about a 2006 dodge ram diesel was told it was in great running condition etc. Drove 90 minutes each way and had to bring someone with me as I was a buyer. Arrived there truck had rust that was poorly touched up, looked past that took the truck on a test drive and went to test 4x4 and the transfer case failed. Leaving us to have to wait for our salesman to come pick us up in another truck. I decided to call it a fluke and test drive another truck. The 2010 Sierra we test drove started misfiring, and chugging a block after we left the dealership on the test drive. We bring it back and finally about to leave they bring out a fully loaded ltz avalanche take that for a test drive, the automatic running boards were broken needing new motors, the interior lights would not shut off meaning bad sensor in the door, and on top of that the on board air compressor for the shocks was constantly running meaning the air shocks were leaking and the system needing replacement. I liked the avalanche and told them I'd purchase it if the few things were fixed. We went inside to talk numbers, this is where I gave them my offer and such. Salesman said sales manager declined fixing repairs. I asked to speak with sales manager who was extremely rude. Stated he can't take any money of the sticker price or fix anything needing repairs. He was well aware that I drove 90 mins and test drove 2 trucks already 1 in which left us stranded. Sales manager had the "I don't care" attitude. For someone that purchases numerous vehicles a year I am extremely disappointed in the experience especially at a chevrolet dealership. The salesman I worked with was the only reason I stayed as long as I did. As far as customer service goes the sales manager had zero service. Then to top everything off they didn't even look over the two broken trucks they just put that back in the front of the lot. More
High Pressure, waste of time Couldn't find car, smelled terrible, no fuel. Passed on car and asked about a second car. Could not answer questions about the car. Liked the car, Couldn't find car, smelled terrible, no fuel. Passed on car and asked about a second car. Could not answer questions about the car. Liked the car, made an offer of -500 on a 10,000 car. They came back with more add on costs of $2800, without coming down. No dropping price at all and wasted our time. Felt like a scam. Would never go back and not recommended at all! More
Run Away as Fast as You Can I am an experienced car buyer, with low expectations. In fact, I worked for GM for many years in a senior role so I can attest this is no way to buy a car! I wouldn't buy anything from these liars. I walked in with a published ad (including advertised pricing on 2 specific new cars) and my checkbook, ready to pay cash and buy, but: (1) the cars did not exist (instead of the 5 miles advertised they each had thousands of miles, and one was out being driven by the owner's wife at the time); and (2) the advertised price assumed that I qualified for all 14 available GM discounts (they gave me the list) and was totally unachievable (many discounts were mutually exclusive, including the Chevy lease pull-ahead and the competitive lease trade-in-- you can't have both, and the GM educator discount plus the GM student discount--also cannot have both, among others). After discussing this with 3 salesmen and the manager I assumed I had made my point. But apparently not. The advertisements are still out there today. Although I could never do business with people like this, under any circumstances, you should all think twice. I was about to spend $70,000 on a new SUV, and they pulled out all the stops to take everything they could be from me. Including false advertising, which is illegal. Imagine what they'll do when you need service on a vehicle and there's no indoendent nbenchmark on the cost. I would never, ever do business with these people. Btw, I bought the new 2017 Chevy Tahoe Premium (formerly LTX trim) last week -- and it is absolutely spectacular. Just don't buy it here. They will screw you. Hope this was helpful. More
Very Poor Customer Service Don't buy a car from this dealership! They do not treat their customers well. I bought a new Malibu from them in August and, so far, I love the car. Don't buy a car from this dealership! They do not treat their customers well. I bought a new Malibu from them in August and, so far, I love the car. The staff, however, leaves much to be desired. From the lying John the Salesman to the condescending Gary and John in Finance to the always-in-a-meeting Sales Manager, none of these people had any interest in helping me once I had signed the contract. There was an error on the contract; they had not honored the agreed upon price. I made three visits and several phone calls. Each time I was promised an answer to my question on the paperwork, but I still don't have an answer. Sadly, I expect car dealers to be kind of shady. However, this is the SHADIEST DEALERSHIP I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. These people lie, lie, lie. More
Felt scammed Keith was our car salesman at Libertyville. He had two other people buying a car at the same time, and they must have been spending more money than us Keith was our car salesman at Libertyville. He had two other people buying a car at the same time, and they must have been spending more money than us because he barely came over to our table in the two and a half hours we were there. When we discussed price, he scribbled the numbers on the back of a paper and gestured at them vaguely and quickly--when we got to the finance guy, it turns out that the original price had gone up even though we were getting a "discount." Funny, when I asked the specific price on the floor, it was nearly $800 less! There was a warranty added on the car that I did not want, but was told that I could not be sold the car without it. I can find no documentation online that states that Chevy is required to certify their cars, and the warranty and what it covers wasn't explained; when I asked I was told "it covers all that mechanical stuff." When we got the bill of sale, the price was there but no itemized section for the warranty--when we asked, THEN they pulled out a "we owe you" card and crossed out the "nothing owed" written on it and added in the warranty terms. Ultimately I left with a bad taste in my mouth and will not be recommending this place to anyone. More
