It has limited duties these days but performs them well for my wife (titled owner) when everything is working acceptably. Jeff worked with an experienced mechanic (Donnie) who provided both good diagnosis and good actual repair. In the end, the truck was back in fine operating order and ready for my wife to use sparingly in the local area for the foreseeable future. Accomplished but disappointing. I went in for three reasons; brake recall, transmission to be looked at or reset, and the TPMS looked at because it was not resetting correctly. The b I went in for three reasons; brake recall, transmission to be looked at or reset, and the TPMS looked at because it was not resetting correctly. The break recall was fixed and works a lot better. The TPMS still does not show which tire is which correctly on the drivers information screen. The transmission deal was real disappointing. My complaint was, as in the past, that it takes too long to shift. It will rev at about 4500 rpm before slipping into the next gear. Gas mileage would decrease. Twice now the dealership reset the transmission to the factory settings. The on-site GM Customer Representative said I’d be better off buying a Ford because he will not fix any more transmissions,,, because he was told by GM that his transmission warranty costs were already way over budget. So, what’s to happen the next time this transmission retrains itself back to being a gas guzzler? Periodically I receive letters from lemon law lawyers explaining this exact condition,,, so I’m sure General Motors already knows this is a problem. More
