I’ve been servicing my vehicle there since the day I bought it. Every invoice I’ve received over the years clearly states “lifetime oil change.” Because of that, I’ve always operated under the assumptio bought it. Every invoice I’ve received over the years clearly states “lifetime oil change.” Because of that, I’ve always operated under the assumption that the benefit was still in place. At my most recent visit, I was told I “no longer qualify.” That was the first time I had heard anything about a change. When I tried to ask questions and understand what had changed, I was interrupted before I could finish explaining my confusion. I decided not to move forward with the oil change, but continued with my recall service. Later, when someone followed up about my experience, I shared that my frustration. I made it clear I was not frustrated about being charged, I was frustrated about the lack of communication. If I no longer qualified, that’s fine, but that information should have been shared when I called to schedule the appointment. That would have given me the chance to decide how I wanted to proceed before taking time out of my day to come in. Instead, I was told, 'So you’re upset you’re not receiving a service for free that you weren’t supposed to be receiving for free.' That response felt dismissive and didn’t address the actual concern I was raising. To be clear, I genuinely don’t know whether I should still qualify for the lifetime oil changes. My issue was the communication and the way the conversation was handled. Had I known in advance that I would be paying, I would have brought the $20/$30 coupon I received in the mail.
