I visited several Toyota dealers in the area. I wanted to trade in my 2003 Tacoma with only 32,000 miles on it. I went in via internet quote, so I did most of my own work upfront. Stacey was awesome; very friendly, helpful, informative and seemed interested in what I needed. Jim was fine. I asked a few questions via email that didn't get answered and I made the appointment to come see him, so I'd say he wasn't all that pro-active. He got the job done and he seems like a nice guy, but I would give him a 3.8/5 and I'd give Stacey a 5/5. Jim met my expectations and Stacey exceeded them. You (car dealers) have an interesting business. I think the reason that people are hesitant to deal with you directly is because they know instinctively that those clients who are the most confrontational with you wind up getting the best pricing, and those who give you the least resistance get the worst pricing. It certainly was true in my case. So in the end the deals still get done, but in most other retail businesses the dynamic is reversed. Individual salespeople probably know this and shield the customer as much as possible from this pricing-dance, but it sure doesn't get people like me fired up about giving more referrals. Looking for a used car with not so great credit had been a hassle until I contacted Lou Fusz. I had applied for credit at a couple of other "big" name dealers in my area and i couldn't even get the finance a hassle until I contacted Lou Fusz. I was so discouraged i even looked at one of the Buy Here, Pay Here places, only to find sub-par vehicles, outrageous pricing, and what seemed like excessive "bank fees." That is when I applied online to Lou Fusz. Within 24 hours Steve contacted me to let me know he was working on getting me financing. He called me daily to keep me updated on his progress, and within a few days had found the financing that I needed. He was able to get me into a great car and still stay within my price range. From start to finish, Lou Fusz Toyota and Steve were able to help me when others weren't even willing to try. Not only that, but the experience was pleasant and not once did I feel like I was looked down upon because of a few bad credit mistakes in my past. More
