Unfortunately I was very disappointed by my experience with the dealership’s service. I brought my car in for an issue with the ignition not working properly. After being told the repair was completed, it with the dealership’s service. I brought my car in for an issue with the ignition not working properly. After being told the repair was completed, it was acknowledged by the mechanic that the battery was dying, which I thought was odd (this had never happened before). After getting my car home, I, as someone with no knowledge about cars, instantly realized that the car was not shutting off after the key was removed (several electronic components remained on). The fact that the mechanic/service team acknowledged the issue but gave me my car back anyway is extremely unprofessional, and it is unbelievable that they didn’t notice the car was still on after the key was removed. The issue I brought my car in for was not resolved. Moreover, after I notified the service advisor of this, he attempted to charge me full price for another repair on the ignition issue - which should have been addressed when I brought my car in the first time. Carleen was pleasant to work with; she discounted the service after I spoke with her, although I believe more could have been done by the dealership to right the wrongs of the incomplete initial diagnosis and repair. All told, between the 2 repairs (for the single issue I brought my car in for), I was out of a car for nearly 4 weeks, and when I finally got my car back it was filthy (the drivers seat, steering wheel, and inside door handle were all covered in a black grime, and I did not receive a car wash as I typically have received at dealerships after service). I was never offered a rental car over this time, which is a courtesy I have received at other dealerships; this proved to be an incredibly inconvenient situation. I spoke with someone who has been close to the car mechanic/repair industry about my experience and he said this was an unbelievably poor, unprofessional, and embarrassing service provided by the dealership. As long as I have my car I will not bring it to this dealership again, I will be sure to inform any Hyundai owners I know not to engage with this dealership, and I will never purchase a Hyundai again in the future. More
