Sold me a 2022 Cooper with 67k and change miles. Stated it was checked over. Sales manager even called me and assured me it had been checked over. A slight rattle from what appears to be a worn-out timing tensioner has been present. Quite odd that they would sell a car and not have checked over the timing chain system. After bringing it to their attention, I was instructed that I could drive a 4 hour round trip back to their dealership, and they would do a "free" diagnosis. How kind of them. This place is clearly either incompetent or a scam. I'll be filing a complaint with the Office of Consumer Protection promptly unless they make good on this and do the work like they stated they did pre-sale. More
