I asked about a second key/fob and was told none was available without me returning and spending about $400.00. I responded to their emailed questions about the experience by saying that the fob was falling apart, and I would be open to trading off some of the dealer "Extras" for a second functioning key/fob. Since May 27, the following have NOT responded: Tyler Salada representing Steve Maita; Laura Chapman; and Chris Martin. More

Gave one salesperson my bottom line price I would pay for the car, then Tyler came out and talked about a deal using the sticker price. I brought up my bottom line price and he played dumb. “I’m confused, where did that number come from?” I was paying cash for the car and they tried especially hard to sell me three extra options - an enhanced alarm system, the dent & ding package, and something where they etch your VIN on all major parts. I refused all of them every time they tried (and they tried hard). Yet when I got into Finance, lo and behold they slipped one of these forms in. A for effort, but I wasn’t falling for it. They had just gotten that car in, and told me the second key was with their service department (or something like that) because they had planned to tint the windows. They said someone would call me to arrange for me to get the second key. I had to call a week later and once again had to deal w Tyler. He pretended to miss my point that someone was supposed to contact me. As much as I paid for the car, I don’t feel like I should be tracking down a spare key. Happy to be done dealing with them. More

Brake repair I was very, very happy with my recent service at Maita Toyota. Although there was some confusion regarding my brakes initially, Nichole made sure that I was very, very happy with my recent service at Maita Toyota. Although there was some confusion regarding my brakes initially, Nichole made sure that everything was re-checked and properly repaired. She notified me of a current brake special and ensured that I received a discount on my service due to the confusion. Thanks so much, Nichole! More

I first communicated by email. The price seemed great so I went in for a test drive. I asked to drive the car they had described in the email. It was great. Had all the features I wanted. When I said OK, the price went up 4,000. The salesman explained that the model I drove had all wheel drive and thus was more expensive. I didn't need all wheel drive. I was offered a lower priced model and was assured the only difference was no all wheel drive. After the sale, I discovered there was no luggage compartment cover, no navigation, and no Sirus Satellite radio. Immediately, I was told I should have read the "Maroni" which is the window sticker for each car. Nevermind the assurances, I signed a document that said I shouldn't have believed the sales people. So through my own fault for trusting strangers (and salesmen) I own a car I am sorely unhappy with and more unhappy with a dealership that relies on "you should have read the fine print". I can't fathom this is a successful strategy for future business as I would have gladly bought the more expensive model if they had just been honest. Never again, Maita. More
